Chapter 20: Danny, The Groovy!

Tyr’thaniel looked at Ace and smiled. He knew that he could just kill the man who he was talking to but didn't want to do it.
-Tyr’thaniel: Calm down, boy. You will not be the one to kill you.
-Ace: Well, allow me to leave. People are waiting for me and I hate to be late.
-Tyr’thaniel: Would you sell your void knight skills to become a better Demon Lord?
-Ace: As long as I can help my friends, I will do anything.
-Tyr’thaniel: I see! So if I told you that I could block the Demon Lord skills but give you better powers of Void Knight, what would you do?
-Ace: I would want to see them first. And later I would reject them.
-Tyr’thaniel: Why would you do that?
-Ace: Because my objective also is to defeat certain master in Void Knight skills. And using the same skills than him would be counterproductive for my objective.
-Tyr’thaniel: I see. Well I will have to get used to seeing you, Demon Lord Ace.
-Ace: News fly faster than a bullet. See you later then, King of Elves.
Ace found a gate and got out. He was in an abandoned shrine, that was breaking apart and checked where he was. He was at five minutes of distance from the house he had been checking the statues he had stolen from Blue Hand.

Ace arrived to the house and found everyone else worried. All his team was worried that something happened to him.
-Ace: I am back!
-Harlequin: Where were you!? I was scared that some kind of trouble happened to you and got bugged!
-Ace: That would be hard. I was in two Death Rooms.
-Alice: Two!? That's awesome!
-Ace: Tyr’thaniel, first Void Knight and Daurufa, First Demon Lord. I met them. Both gave me a chance to be stronger. I took the Demon Lord chance. I have full access to Demon Lord skills until specialization. For specialization, I need to find Maerfia and Luxuria.
-Zarark: So you will have to go to the Void again.
-Ace: Yep. But I have some gates. One is close to this house.
-Enforcer: Good.
-Ace: Let's keep checking out the statues!
Ace opened the last statue and found out a skill book and an egg. Ace looked like if it would not be a good idea to see what was that but he looked. The skill book was a Summoner skill book with all the pet skills and the egg seemed to be of a boss. Ace used the skill book and hatched the egg.

From the egg, a small sheep with appeared from it. It was a baby Baraford and the girls were looking at it wanting to grab him.
-Baby: Bara, Bara, Barabeeee!
-Ace: My ears… This one has strong voice…
-Zarark: I must agree.
-Harlequin: It's cute.
-Alice: Yeah.
Alice grabs the baby and looks if nothing of the egg remained on the fur. The sheep looks like if it was smiling.
-Ace: Hey, pal. Wanna stay with us?
-Baby: Beru?
-Ace: You understand me, no?
-Baby: Beee!
-Ace: Seems so. “Or I hope”
Then a message appeared in front of Ace: “You have a new pet! Name it!“ Ace looked surprised, he did not expect to be able to make contracts. Ace thought for a while a good name for this sheep who was a male and after seeing how the girls looked at the baby, he decided the name. He remembered that brother of the jerk of Jerome and remembered how girls used to flock around him.

Ace named the baby Baraford as Danny, a diminutive of Daniel.
-Ace: Danny! I hope you are happy of this name!
-Danny: (Happy) Baru Baru baaaaah!
-Ace: Seems so!
-Alice: I have chef skills so I will do a bit of food for this little baby.
-Ace: Thanks!
Danny looked at Ace and Alice and looked intrigued.
-Danny: (looks at Alice) Baama?
-Ace: Now I want to understand him. Really.
Zarark started to laugh his ass off.
-Zarark: I have monster whisperer skills. He called her mother!
-Danny: (Looks at Ace) Baapa.
-Ace: He called me father. Am I right?
-Zarark: Yes! (Starts laughing aloud)
-Ace: Another one that likes the idea of me and Alice together. Well no big deal.
Alice prepared a big salad and gave it to Danny, who ate all in less than 3 minutes.

Ace grabbed it and carried it to the forest area to train. Some players looked at Danny, weighing their options to kill him, others smiled at it and even a few tried to grab him and play with him. Ace found a bunny and knew that the poor bunny would be the target first Danny.
-Ace: Danny! Attack that bunny!
-Danny: Bara, Bara, BEEE!
Danny charged against the bunny and used Bash skill and caused 80 HP of damage, but the bunny tried to push him away but it could not do damage unless it used its horn. Danny tried to block the horn but it was too fast and stabbed Danny causing him to lose 50 HP.
-Ace: Deflect the horn! Deflect it! Do not block it!
-Danny: Baaaah!
Danny bashed at the bunny again and when the bunny tried to stab Danny, Danny used his horns to deflect it making the bunny horn pass close to his horns and then hitting the horn with one of its own horns and then bashed at the bunny.
-Ace: Groovy!
Danny saw a chance to make a counter with no risk and decided to try it. The bunny went right straight into feral rage and tried to stab Danny but Danny dodged it and bashed again but this time it aimed to put the horn of the bunny into a tree and it worked well, the bunny was trapped.
-Ace: Now is your chance! Attack!
-Danny: Baru, Baru, BEEEEEEH!
Danny bashed at the bunny and sent it flying to where Ace was and killing it when it impacted on the ground.

Danny became a lv 3 monster with only a fight but his stats would surprise Ace.
-Ace: That was extremely groovy, Danny!
-Danny: (Happy) Baaaaaah!
Ace checked out the stats of Danny and the status window was this one:

HP: 7500
MP: 800
STR: 10
VIT: 15
INT: 4
DEX: 1
AGI: 10

Skills:

Fluffy Armor: Racial Passive. Every attack that slashes or crushes will deal an 60% less of damage. It does not allow the user to wear any kind of armor, it can only wear a helmet and boots.
Strong Bash: Active, 3 MP cost. It charges against the enemy and knocks it back and if the enemy does hit a wall, it will be stunned for 30 seconds.
Ram: Active, 20 MP. The user rams the enemy and knocks it back with a lot of power. It can stun the enemy.
Grand Strike: Active Skill, 12 mp cost. They hit with all their power to the enemy and can send them flying.

Literally Ace was amazed with Danny’s growth, he knew that boss monster pets would grow but not this much. He checked the newbie guide and saw this:
<Your pet grows also while fighting, he gets STATS while it fights. That way they can end being a great asset and that way we avoid the discrimination of an entire tree skill. Also as more grows the affinity between pet and user the STATS grow more, and happens the same if they are from bosses>
Also Ace did not remember that he had all the monster summoner branch learned and that made Danny grow even faster and truly did not notice that Demon Lord skills had improved the summoner skills.
Ace gave Danny a healing potion and they went back to the house of the team.
