Chapter 39: The New Equipment

After several hours, Ace had an entire new set of equipment and all thanks to the hard work of Wanderer.
Ace had already known that Wanderer was quite well-known as a crafter but this was reaching the point of being like Duraralt. After making the first living equipment, he already had caught a bit the trick to make them with a good and fast control of the temperature in the room.

Ace now had Dionysus, an armor that ate mana and a new pair of weapons. A black long sword with blue runes engraved on it and a silver guard and a small crimson dagger with an eye on the guard. Ace tried to swing them and felt that the weapons were a bit heavy.
-Ace: Why this is so heavy?
-Dagger: Maybe because I did not accept you!
-Sword: Neither I!
-Ace: I do not even know your names.
-Dagger: My name is Mephisto! I am a trickster who wields illusions!
-Sword: I am Ascalon and I do extra damage to drakes and control the gravity.
-Ace: Nice. For now you are mine.
-Ascalon: Do not give me a reason to say no to that.
-Wanderer: Your luck sucks, Ace.
-Ace: You tell me. Believe me, this was mercy.
-Wanderer: Then you might want to see something. I will explain to you how the guilds work here in Dreamland. There are three big factions: The federations, the big guilds, and the Angel's Paradise.
Ace just could hear Wanderer talk of the three factions.

Meanwhile, Dave was talking to some Dreamland streamer who was streaming and talking of the Diamond Wolfves. The streamer was a small elf with long blonde hair and green eyes that was wearing a white leather armor and was wielding a bow.
-Streamer: Here we are with Dave, the blonde Casanova! I have a lot of questions for you!
-Dave: Well, you asked a lot of times to interview any of the founders of Diamond Wolfves. Unluckily, Geralt is not available right now.
-Streamer: At least I am close to a hot guy. But well, let's start with the questions!
-Dave: Okay.
-Streamer: Lately, Diamond Wolfves is a known guild for his several services. You manage to craft decent equipment, you keep a good PVP record, hunt monsters that most medium guilds can't kill... How do you manage to do all that!?
-Dave: Simple. We alloe all kinds of players that are discriminated due to their skill trees, situation, opinion to join and they work hard to help the guild. With a former guild base turned into a farm, we get materials without paying the margin and we use every kind of profit to improve our products.
-Streamer: So literally... You are strong due to your kindness towards those players?
-Dave: Exactly.
-Streamer: And the small helps of Black Order and Lion's Heart do not do a lot?
-Dave: They have been helpful of course, without their help... Oboro would have crushed us.
-Streamer: Still, there are many who weren't happy with Lion's Heart or Black Order.
-Dave: Yes but now we are doing the usual trade between guilds. You help them once...
-Streamer: And they help you once. What is your plan? Going full Federation mode or what?
-Dave: Our plan is simple. Help all kind of players. We can be better than what federations or big guilds have shown to all of us.
-Streamer: I see. Then for a last question: What do you think about Duraralt actions? He went after one of your companions, "Dark Fang" Shade and also the rumours say that she is the queen of Diamond Wolfves.
-Dave: Yeah. About that. Duraralt had personal reasons to do that. I will not disclose them. But now he is becoming a GM. I feel like there will be many changes to the balance between guilds. And more with the incoming expansion.
-Streamer: Who you think that will accept working with Diamond Wolfves?
-Dave: I cannot say our preferences but I will tell you what I think. Grim Gang will be a great ally for anyone. We are on uncharted lands, having a trading guild supporting us allows us to focus on our best selling point: The bodyguard quests. We may lack the speed of other guilds when it comes to trade but if we protect someone or something unless we are not told something important we can do the job easily.
-Streamer: I see. Thanks for this short interview. But you did not talk of one of your best selling points: The bandit hunting.
-Dave: We do that but usually it's on desperate cases. Like the Moon brothers. They destroyed a small guild for no reason. They did not even wanted anything out of that guild. You surely know how Geralt gets with those bullies.
-Streamer: Well, he is known to get angry with bullies.
-Dave: That is a compliment. We all know that Geralt is called "Blood Edge" for a good reason.
-Streamer: Yes. Well, Dave... Thanks a lot for all the time you have spent with this interview. See you soon... I guess.
-Dave: Come to seek me any time. I am open to any question as long as they are not confidential information.
-Streamer: Well. The juicy info is the confidential one.
-Dave: Don't think so.
Dave smiled at the streamer and left.

Hi people. Lately I have been filled with troubles. Accidents happen but all the Combo I got was too much. I have important things to prepare for that will happen in January. I don't have the exact day but I have to prepare a lot. So expect unstable updates for most stories unless Reincarnated as a betrayed prince.
