After a pair of hours, Harlequin managed to find someone who had a map of the Academy of Sorcery and she had found one. The seller was a tall man with long golden hair who wore leather armor with a black hood and used a mask of a clown.
He was a former student of that same academy who gave it to her for the measly price of 2000 coins. For Harlequin it seemed quite ironic that the one who sold it was a former student. They decided to meet in front of the Academy.
-Harlequin: Hello.
-Student: Hello, Harlequin. You may call me Sheiki.
-Harlequin: As the Sheiki of Beat Branch? And here I thought that you would be a good student in need of a lot of money.
-Sheiki: Ah... Nope. I just did a small bet playing a bit with a dice and I lost it. And so I decided to sell you that information.
-Harlequin: Okay. You all are too random.
-Sheiki: Thanks! That's quite the good news!
-Harlequin: Welp. How much will you ask for the map?
-Sheiki: 2000 coins.
-Harlequin: That's cheap. I accept.
Harlequin gives a small bag filled with coins to Sheiki who grabs it and starts giving coins to some new players who needed a bit of help.Harlequin POV:
And like always, Beat Branch shows how random they are but also how they care about the new players and the veterans in their own odd way.Well, at least I have the map. Which surely will trigger Oboro and Diane for several days. I think I should start looking for a hideout to stay hidden for a while.
POV end.Meanwhile, Sieg was worried. He was sure that he was going to have troubles but he could not splurge all of his money on a possibility. He was contacting Blue to sell her bombs like the one that was his prototype for the event and she had warned him that Deadlast and Zero were after her.
Sieg was in that position of being one of the most important engineers in Greltiel due to the fact that he had around 800 people working for him due to respect for his family. But that wouldn't work for a long time since he pissed off who he should not be offending. Stealing from the cheaters was a good thing for his plan but that also meant that he had to be safe and so he did a deal with a teacher of the academy to allow his prototype protected in the academy with an extra help that Sieg could buy.
But Alvyn learned of that and went to confront Sieg.
-Alvyn: Sieg. Why did you have to do this kind of nasty stuff to make sure your prototype is safe?
-Sieg: Alvyn, sir. I am worried that due to certain trouble with certain group of people may cause extra sabotage and since you and lady Diane were busy I had to do all I could to ensure the prototype safety.
-Alvyn: I see. Yes, lately with our GM duties we have been busy and all... I forgive you for not telling me about your situation this time but next time you shall have to explain all. Also there are some nasty rumors about you. Be aware of your actions.
-Sieg: Thank you for the advice!
Sieg smiled at Alvyn and left while Alvyn was trying his best to not let his anger get the best of him. Alvyn through a forced PSY link managed to see that Blue and Sieg were doing a deal of some anti-GM bomb. But for better results he had to hope that Ace could stop him and so he sighed and started walking to his office.Hello this is Beat! I am quite sick lately (Due to a having a bit of a cold and literally having headaches) and that has slowed this chapter and the rest of the plans and so I have to do a small change this week of putting the lore the Friday and the Dreamland today!
I hope you like it and I will remind you that every vote helps me to make better chapters.
