Fire and Ice

I hopped in the back seat somehow smashed between three bodies. Soda and Darry were up front and Dallas, Johnny, Ponyboy, and I were in the back. Dallas was right next to me and kept looking at me. "So where are ya from?" He questioned.
"Back off Dal, Thats my cousin you're talkin to!!" Soda butted in.
"I-It's okay Soda. I'm from C-California..." Man I really hate my stutter, I need to calm down.
His icy eyes looked at me, he didn't respond, just looked at me. His eyes were icy but they were making me melt. I looked back. My eyes are the opposite of his, brown with hints of almost reddish brown here and there, like fire.
He finally arrived at some restaurant called the Bowen Lounge. We all sat down in a booth and got some drinks and ordered our food.
"Kaya I still can't believe your here." Ponyboy said, breaking the silence.
"Me either..."
The food arrived and we all chowed down, I was so hungry. I finished first.
"Dang Kaya, you sure were hungry." Soda said.
"Yeah no duh idiot." I said sticking my tongue out.
Sodapop is the only one I can be weird and smile around, he's always been there. Over the phone of course. He really makes me happy, I would do anything for him, and that's a lot for me to say. I don't love loving things because love is dangerous, but I love Sodapop. I returned to my serious self and began to mess with the sleeves of my jacket. We got back into the car and drove to the Curtis' house.
When I walked in I saw two boys on the floor eating chocolate cake watching Mickey Mouse.
"Who's the chick?" Called out one wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt.
"She's our cousin Kaya, she lives here now. Kaya, Two-Bit. Two-Bit, Kaya." Ponyboy said joyfully.
The other boy stood up and wiped his mouth with his sleeve, "Pleasure... the name is Steve" he winked and leaned against the wall. I said hello and walked over to Darry. He showed me to the room I would sharing with Sodapop. Pony would sleep with Darry from then on. I felt horrible intruding like this and making them move. I set my stuff down by the wall and went back to the living room.
"Later guys, gotta go babysit." Hollered Two as he walked out. I walked back to the room and sat on the bed thinking about how I suddenly missed California.
I jumped a little when I heard the door close.
Dallas stood leaning against the wall.
