"But here you are, living proof that even the unbreakable have a breaking point."

I walked up to the house with Adam.

"SHE'S HERE!!!" Someone yelled from inside.

"SHIT!!" Dallas came rushing out the front door as we reached it, blocking our entry.

"What is it?" I looked over his shoulder and saw all the boys running around frantically. "What's going on? Move your ass Dallas Winston or I'll move it for you."

"I can't let you in just yet." I saw his eyes were wet. Like he had been crying or close to it. It scared me.

"Dal, I've lived with boys my whole life. It's nothing I haven't seen before now move." I grabbed Adams arm as I pushed through Dallas. "No.."

Stormy laid on the ground, whimpering. Blood all over his face and front side. Johnny and Sodapop sat crying as Darry was about to put something on his neck. "STOP IT YOURE HURTING HIM." I pushed Darry over and immediately started crying. Stormy licked my hand as I put my hand to his face. He had a deep gash on his leg and shoulder . Road rash covered his left side.

"He needs stitches on his left shoulder it's more than 1/2 an inch. Steve, go sterilize some needles. Pony get me some disinfectant solution it's in the cupboard in the bathroom. Darry get me a towel and sewing string. Adam, get Alex. Dally... Ice, and some treats." I worked through my my blurry tears. I cleaned up his wound and started to numb it. Dally fed him some treats as I worked.

"You should be a doctor Kaya, you'll awful good at this stuff." Steve said. Alex walked in and gasped.

"Shut it Randle. Alex I need that cone you have and some cloth. Quick. I would prefer blue if you could." I flashed her a forced smile as she nodded and ran out to go get the stuff. I finished up the stitches, fed him some pain reliever and wrapped him up in gauze then the light blue cloth Alex brought. I put the cone on his head and stood up.

"Damn. Good job Kay." I pushed Darry's hand off my shoulder.

"What the hell happened to my dog?!?" I looked at Darry, I could feel the fire inside me.

"We just took him for a ride in the truck and when we got out some huge black dog was waiting right at the doorstep." He looked at Stormy. "I'm sorry Kaya. He's weak."

"Don't you think I know that!?!? Why do you think I had rules?!? No outside unless he has his leash. No being around Two or Steve for too long unsupervised. No coffee or liquor!!! It was all to protect him but you can't follow those simple rules!?"

"The hell do you know about rules kiddo? You never follow em no matter what they are!! Why do you think you ended up like this?"

"Like what Darrel? Like a Hood? Like some little thief who begs bribes and steals?" I looked up at him, I could tell he regretted it already. That he didn't mean it but I don't stop. "That wasn't my fault. I didn't choose to be like this. I HAD to become this to survive. But I guess you wouldn't know with your stupid little perfect life with perfect parents and the perfect family. You wouldn't know what it's like to walk into the house and see your mom drunk with some guy you didn't recognize. You wouldn't know what it's like to have to hold someone at gunpoint for your next meal. You wouldn't know." Dallas was pulling me away before I snapped. He took me outside and started telling me to calm down. Everyone inside stood in shock.

"Kaya." Dallas looked at me while I filled with anger.

"What?"

"What was your life. Gun point? You held people at gun point just to eat."
