"We were revolutionary.""Now let's drink 'till our livers implode!!" Two-Bit raised his beer and everyone cheered. Johnny sat watching The Twilight Zone somehow over the noise.
"Wanna know something funny Johnnycakes?" I laid on my back on the sofa next to him.
"What is it Flower?"
"This is your first time outta Tulsa and you spend it watching TV. Funny huh?" He laughed as he took a sip of his soda. "Let's do something fun."
"Will it be legal?"
"Who gives a shit." I grabbed his hand and slipped out the door, Dallas didn't even notice. We ran until we reached downtown. I climbed up the ladder of a building and we sat on the roof, our legs dangled over the edge. "What do you think is scary?"
He sat and thought for a minute then he finally said "Society." I smiled because I agreed. "What about you?"
Laughing I said "Ya know what's really fucking scary? The fact that I could change at any moment. I could change my life at any moment. I could stop talking to all of you and leave where no one would find me. I could kiss you or anyone I want. I could stop kissing Dallas. I could shave my head or get on a plane or take my own life. Nothing is holding me back. I have the entire world in my hands and I had no fucking idea what to do with it."
"You're world. What's your world?"
"My world... it's complicated but mostly revolves around one person.
"Your world should not revolve around one person. You're world should revolve around you. The only thing we are promised im life in death. That person will leave. I know he will." It shouldn't. My world shouldn't depend on him, but it does and it's gonna be hard to change that.
"I know."
"He will say goodbye though. I heard what you said earlier. I know he will."
"Let's go something illegal man." I turned towards him.
"Like?" He said quietly, I could tell he was nervous as he grabbed my hand.
"Lets go spray paint some cop cars." I smirked as I climbed down the ladder. We ran hand in hand to the side of a building near the station, where I hid my things. I reached into a window and fumbled around my bag. "Hold up." It had to be there, no one had lived there for years. I found it a couple feet away after I practically was inside. "What color?"
"Orange?" Like the sunset... the first stab of love is orange like the sunset. I remember Dallas telling me that. Love? I thought. "Hello? Anybody home?" Johnny waved his hand in my face as I started into the bag.
"Oh yeah uh... orange... here ya go." I handed him an orange can and I grabbed a blue for myself.
"Wait." Johnny held his arm in front of me. "It's broad daylight."
"So?" I have to get you a new jacket man. I thought, the jean jacket he wore was too small. You could see the sleeves go up when he moved his arms.
"They will see us."
"Whatever let's just go, too much adrenaline in me. It need outs Johnny!! OUT!!" He rolled his eyes as he watched me jump around. I smiled as I grabbed him and walked towards the parking lot. As we stood next to a tree I pointed at the car nearest, we crouched down next to the car. I didn't see anybody so I started at my knife while Johnny struggled to get the lid off his paint.
"I told you Kaya." I turned around to see Johnny holding up a paint can and staring at a cop. A real good looking one too.
"Oops. Oh well, let's get outta here." I swung my backpack on and grabbed Johnny's arm.
