He looks at me with his bright brown eyes. It feels like we're the only two people in the world. He begins to lean in close and I feel my heart beating faster. I close my eyes and...brrrrrinnnnggggg!

The bell rings to dismiss me from my sleep hour... I mean Sci Fi class. (That class is literally a snooze). It's the first day back after break and that means I have to face Zach and Aspen again. Of course English is my next hour. Hmm what excuse could I use...

I begin to walk my normal route to English; first to my locker and then to class.

I continue to think up excuses. Period cramps? Nope. Used that one last week to get out of an English quiz. Maybe...

"Katie!"

I turn around return to reality and see Zach standing by my locker. Shit.

"Can I please get to my locker"
"Not when you ask like that!" He smirks

I try to push my way to my locker but I somehow end up with my face nearly touching his. I pull away quickly.

"Fine I don't even need my books" I say as I turn to leave.

"No wait Katie, babe, calm down here look I moved"

I don't even look at him as I return to my locker and begin to work at the lock. He raises his arm and rests it on my locker.

"So I've got this party this weekend. I hear you're quite a partier now. You should stop by. Maybe it'd be your lucky night."

I roll my eyes.

"You'd be the lucky one" I respond before I realize how flirtatious it sounds.

"Well I'm a lucky guy. I'll see you there then"

Shit. Shit shit shit. You know what... whatever. I need this! A night of fun won't kill me. It is decided then. Now to find a group and some booze.

I shoot my college friend a text.

Me: Party this weekend at Zach's
Grace: Hellllll yes. I'm there.

Perfect. I'm really feeling not giving a crap this week. It'll be a good one.

I walk into my English class and take a seat at my usual desk. I see Aspen out of the corner of my eye. He's with a girl (obviously). A blonde. (Obviously). I don't pay much attention. It's fine. I'm fine. I don't even care anyways. My thoughts however bring me back to the daydream I had earlier today.

Luckily English was fairly normal as was the rest of the day. Nothing much happened. I waited outside for Max so we could drive home.
