When Karma Hits You

        Life is fair but sometimes it is not. Most of the time. I thought I have already overcome from the embarrassment that I felt in the team building but I was not. In fact, the embarrassment  that I felt was tripled after what happened last night. I don't know why I called it embarrassment on my part though I should be glad that I'm having that kind of moment with him. My God! Renee', it is only in your dreams. So, please wake up! Wake up! Live in the real world. Live a life!

     "Renee' " I heard him calling my name.

     I turned my head up from my monitor and look into him. He sit beside me.

     "Yes?" I said to him. Lately, he became so sweet with me.

     "Nothing. I'll just sit here beside you." he said.

     I just nod. Gail is on leave today. Awkward. Again. I feel so conscious the whole time because of him.

    "It is already end of your shift, Renee'." He said to me. "Let's go."

   I look at him. What is it? Are we going home together? My God! Renee'! Think! and wake up, please! Wake up!

"I know. I will just pack my things and ready to go." I said.

"Alright." He said.

He held my hand while we are walking through the elevator. What was it? I'm trying to remove his hand but he keeps on holding it until we reach in the parking lot.

I remove my hand from his hold. He look back to me and shrugged. He walk directly to his car and opened his door for me.

"Get inside!" He said.

I stopped, maybe three meters away from his car, from him.

"Why did you doing this Rhance?" I said to him. I just need clarification before anything else. I just want to know it clearly.

"What?" He asked.

"This thing. This whole thing. What is this all about?" I asked him.

"Why are you asking me that?" He asked back to me.

"I just want to know. Why, Rhance? Why?" I said.

"Isn't it obvious?" He said.

"What?" I shouted at him.

"Why?" I shouted to him.

    "I like you, Renee'. " Rhance said.

     "But-." I was a bit surprise yet so happy. "How? Why?"

   "I don't know. It just happened." He said.

     "Why me?" I said to him.

     "I also don't know. Do I need a reason for loving you?" he said.

     "I don't know but Rhance, it is not right." I said to him. Yeah! I know that I felt something for him. But, at the moment, things has changed.

  "Why? Because I'm your manager and you are under my supervision?" He said.

   "Yes and-" I said

  "There's no problem on it." He said.

   "But-" I said

   "Why don't you tell me that it is mutual?" He said.

   "I'm sorry, Rhance. Yeah, in the first place, I thought you were the one but time has changed and I am now aware which should be my prioritized in life. And at the moment, I think I should follow what I needed most." I explained it to him.
