When Karma Hits You

Chapter 12

       We've done many activities after the charades game. We played water games and we also tried their hanging bridge and of course, their zip line. And now, since this is our last night in the resort and we will leave tomorrow morning, we only have one activity left. We're having a camp tonight, as what Ma'am Iya planned.

         Time check, eight o'clock in the evening. It is already dark outside. Well, in the camp area only. Since, most part of the resort are lighted. As I walk outside, the ambiance is chilling me. It is like it says 'Are you afraid from the dark? I walked through the camp site. The camp site is located in the other side of their pool area. The camp site is too solemn, perfect for soul searching and unwind. Big trees, flowers, surrounds the camp. It all set up when I came in the site. There is a bonfire in the middle. Of course, there is no chair. We will sit on the ground. I saw the guys are setting up the tent. One is for the boys and the other one is for the ladies. The place is ready for camping.

"Hi guys! Our last activity is not physical activity. So, it will not drain our energy unlike our previous activities. This is a camp. We will do what campers do. So, give me your gadgets. No more gadgets this time, just pure talks." Ma'am Iya said and she collected all our gadgets.

"Here's mine." Mac said and surrendered his phone.

"This is my tablet and phone." Lindie said.

"This is my phone." Me and Gail said.

"I can't give mine. I need it. You know, I maybe receive any important calls or e-mails, work-related." Sir Rhance disapproved.

"Well, but it was suppose to be part of the camp activity." Ma'am Iya said but she can't protest since she is still under his supervision.

"Yes, right. It is a team building. PURE NON-WORK" I said. I don't know what came into my mind and I said that out loud. But, I was not looking at him. I'm afraid with him, he might fired me though.

"Ok, Ok! Here it is." he said while laughing and he surrendered all his things.

"Thanks!" Ma'am Iya said.

Then she put all the gadgets in a resealable plastic bag and walked back to our room.

"I feel so tired." Gail said and she's stretching her legs.

"Yeah, me too. My whole body hurts." Lindie said and started in massaging her shoulders and neck.

    I saw Ma'am Iya is approaching us while holding a bottle and two boxes. Here we go again. What will be the game today? She sat beside Lindie. Then Mac is sitting in between of Lindie and Gail. I sat beside Gail. And Sir Rhance is sitting in between me and Ma'am Iya. He is on my right side. We are sitting in a circle form, around the bonfire. He is sitting beside me. I repeat for the second time, he is sitting beside me.

"So, here we go. This is a truth and consequence game. The bottle has tag that is pasted on both corners. The other corner is 'Truth' and the other one is 'Consequence'. So, if the bottle faces to you, whichever part or corner of it, choose in the box, for 'Truth' and 'Consequence'. These two boxes has questions or dare inside. You just need to pick." She explained.

"Wow, that was hard. Is that too tricky?" Gail said.

"Well, no choice, this is the game. Haha!" Ma'am Iya said.

"Game! Let's do it." Mac said.

Ma'am Iya started to twist the bottle. And, five, four, three, two, one, boom! The bottle stopped in front of Gail. And the tag that face to her was the 'Truth', it was written on the corner of the bottle.

"Oh my God! Why me?" She's so frustrated. Then she picked a question from the Truth box. "Here's my question: What will you choose? Food or Work?" She rolled her eyes. We laughed at her. "Of all questions! My God! Alright, I will choose, well I really want to choose food, but practically of course, I will choose work. Because I believe, if I don't have work I don't have food. And, I thank you! Mwahh!" she said and she twisted the bottle.
