Liam

"I am sorry I will have to cancel the deal..."

I no longer care who they are and what they want... the look in Isabel's face before leaving was enough evidence that she was hurting, she was breaking.

Sh*t that was bad...

As I am about to leave the office a hand reaches out to my shoulder;

"Liam son, please let me..." this woman is pleading before my eyes.

I can tell she was hurting too... I couldn't tell her no... so I just nod and she walks before me towards Isabel's office.

Less than a minute later, she appears back at the conference room door, pale...

"I think you have done enough for one day, just leave... I will handle it from here..." I know I have been a little of line but something inside me told me that those people deserve it.

"Liam, please... find her... tell her I regret leaving her with every breath I take... her grandfather came with me to apologize too... she is the only beautiful thing in my life... please help her see this."

Then, I start connecting the dots... it's her mother who left her.

The woman who destroyed her.

The woman who caused all the pain.

... and they just want to apologize? Are they serious?

I know I am in no place to judge or punish, I just want my Isabel to be happy... but somewhere inside of me says she deserves to have a mother.

"Ms. Price, I cannot promise you anything. Let me find her and make sure she is fine and we will see..."

"Take care of her, I know that look in her eye she loves you... and I can clearly see how much you love her..."

It's funny how is shoving her motherly instincts in my face now whereas she failed at it over and over again...

I just want to yell at her but I am in no place and in this moment all I can do is remain respectful.

"I am sorry you have to excuse me ..." and I rush outside the office towards Zach's office.

"Zach why do I never find you on your f*cking desk?" I yell at him through the phone. I know it is not professional but at this moment, he is my punching bag.

"Liam, I am sorry but I ran after Isabel to make sure she is okay but I can't find her anywhere she vanished."

"Where did you lose her?"

"I took the elevator after her and she wasn't in the lobby so I went to her place and she is not here and now I am driving around maybe I find her somewhere on the street. It is raining like crazy and I am kind of worried about her"

"Ok! Come back to the office I think I have an idea where she might be." I tell him and I run towards the elevator.

All those years I was preparing myself for this encounter.

I knew that I won't be able to escape her forever.

But when I saw her I lost everything I was preparing for.

The words I waited so long to say, the words I repeated to myself over and over again... I lost them in a heartbeat.
