The message came on Monday. It had good timing as they were researching in Madison's room. It wasn't noticed for nearly an hour though. When the kids were starting to lose focus on their research Danny decided to check his notifications. When he checked them he noticed one that said Mara. Danny only even knew of one Mara. He opened it immediately.

I'm sorry you kids have had to deal with Noir. If you wish to know what I learned about him please video chat me. -Mara

Danny showed everyone else the message as soon as he finished reading it. They talked about what they'd say before starting up a video chat program. Madison had only video chatted with her relatives in the past so she was little worried. This was their chance though, and they had to take it. Andrew pressed the call button. They all knew they'd get in loads of trouble if any of their parents found out they were video chatting with a stranger that was unimportant though. The screen showed that it was connecting.

A middle aged woman appeared on the screen. She was clearly the same woman from the article; however, she had aged a lot. Her brown hair was clearly greying despite the fact she wasn't even fifty yet. Unlike the picture in the article her brown eyes now seemed to contain happiness. Mara was the sort that was easy to like, she spread a warm happy feeling it seemed.

"Sorry about having to video chat. I've had people try to trick me in the past," she stated with a heavy English accent.

"It's alright," Alice was quick to respond.

"So you kids want to know how to get rid of Noir I assume?" she asked.

"Do you know how?" Madison asked a tinge of worry in her tone.

"I do, though I can't be a hundred percent certain as I've never tried," the shame dripped from her words.

"Why not?" Andrew aske he was rather suspicious.

"To banish him for good you have to put up a wall of sorts between the realms. If you put up the wall you banish all the creatures that aren't native to our realm. I was very close with an elf at the time, I couldn't lose him," she explained.

"How'd you get him to leave you alone?" Madison asked hopeful she wouldn't have to lose The Grundwasser.

"I regret what I did I chose my friend over every other person that Noir would harm. I picked one friend over the world. I'll tell you how to create the wall; I won't tell you how to get him to leave you alone. I would be willingly letting this go on as I did before. I won't make you do anything, but I won't give you the easy way out," Madison couldn't help but regret the question. She knew Mara was right.

Mara began to speak again, "If you make the wall then you have a day to decide whether you'll stay or go."

"What?" Andrew was quick to ask.

"Humans that know about the other realm can leave this one forever with the help of another from the other realm. Noir would still have access to that person though then," she said softly.

"Wouldn't he still be able to harm the inhabitants of the other realm then?" Madison asked.

"I'm not sure. I wish there was a way to destroy him and his father completely. Destroying them would throw the universe out of balance though," she stated solemnly.

"What do you know of his father?" Alice asked she was curious.

"Lucifer will still be able to cross through the wall for him it's a necessity. He's got to take the souls to hell so he has to cross over. God wouldn't allow Noir to do that if there was a wall, until he grows up enough to stop causing harm to God's children at least. Lucifer only does his job in our realm so he's not a worry," she answered.

"Would Lucifer cause trouble if we banished Noir?" Danny whispered.

"Lucifer's child rearing method is very hands off. He lets Noir make his own decisions and deal with the consequences. He's much more focussed on his job anyways," she explained.

"How do you know all this?" Andrew was still cautious.

"An angel, Lavinia. She wanted me to banish him since it involved human blood. She's the reason I know all this," Mara said.

"So how do we banish him," Madison questioned uncertain whether she could manage it.

"I'll send you the details, but I fear we shouldn't speak any longer today or it may be noticed. If you have questions feel free to contact me. I hope you guys do the right thing," she closed the video call.

The message arrived almost immediately; she must have typed it out earlier.

Ingredients:

The blood of a believer

 The feather of an angel

Holy water

 One of God's creatures

Soil

 A plant

Ink of holy purpose

Words to be said:

Expellas et cetera.

Nos separare exstrue obiectas.

A malo defendat, et ad bonum.

Ne derelinquas nos, sed numquam redire.

Avertantur retror. Clauditis ostium.

Auferte clavis ut non tantum Deum eam mutare viam eris.

Sit Deus defendat.

Huic oppositum.

Ne hanc esse viam.

The kids stared at the message. They could send Noir away. This could all be over. Could they do it though? Madison's mind was filled with memories of her and The Grundwasser. It would be logical to speak to him. He wouldn't want her to do it, she knew that. She couldn't help but agree with Mara, Noir had been in this world far too long, he'd done too much damage, and if left to be he'd only cause more. They had to banish him whatever their personal feelings were. They had to end this.

Next chapter will be Tuesday like normal. Despite the fact I've found this book to be very frustrating I've recently come about a great sequel idea. I look forward to the sequel and I hope you guys do as well. -Ann
