It was the same boy from earlier. The one that had given her the bread, which she had accidentally left behind. This boy had saved her life twice so she wanted to know his name.

"Umm...what's your name?" she asked him. They had been walking for some time in silence, but she had just broken that silence. He did not answer her for a while as they still kept walking. He came to a stop then turned to look at her and said, "You first. What's your name?" She glanced at the ground before looking back at him.

"My name...it's (y/n)," she responded. She was ashamed of her name because the people who had kept her captive told her that she didn't deserve it. They told her that she was too lowly of a creature to have a name like that.

"(Y/n), huh," he said. Then he continued walking again. She wasn't suprised that he didn't tell her his name. Lots of people never told her their names so she was used to it by now. It wasn't until she started to follow him again that he told her his name. "My name is Add."

He said nothing more to her so she thought it polite not to speak to him since it seemed like he didn't want to talk. He finally came to a stop. (Y/n) couldn't quite see where they were because it was currently night, and not much of the moon's light made it through the forest canopy. (Y/n) decided to break the unspoken rule between them of not speaking.

"Where are we?" she asked. He looked at her with his purple eyes. The one on the left slightly glowing. They peered through her soul and made her want to cringe under their intensity but she resisted that urge. When he didn't answer she said, "It's too dark. I can't see very well."

He still didn't answer but he did clear a spot near a tree and sat down gesturing for her to do the same. She complied with his wish and sat next to him. She still couldn't see very well but she didn't complain about it anymore.

"Get some sleep," he intrsucted. She didn't question him although she wanted to know why he was helping her, or if he really was helping her. (Y/n) did as she was told and went to sleep as comfortably as one could while sitting against a tree. She was careful not to get too close to Add who already seemed to be uncomfortable with her sitting as close as she was. There was at least a foot of distance between them but it still seemed to bother him. He kept his piercing gaze on their surroundings rather than sleeping himself.

Soon (y/n) drifted off into a sleep that had been the best in her life since her enslavement. Add seemed like a nice person to be helping her in the way that he did, but (y/n) didn't know for sure whether she could fully trust him yet. He could be anyone as far as she knew. He wanted to help her for some reason right? Those thoughts followed her into her sleep bit disappeared as she started dreaming once again.

She had only had dreams when something new and potentially good was going to happen. She dreamt a lot when she was younger, long before she was imprisoned. While in captivity, she hardly ever had dreams. In fact she could count the number of times she had dreams by using her hands.

This dream was slightly different from her previous dreams though. This one showed something from her past rather than something from her future. Her dreams usually spoiled things like surprises, but this time it made her remember something.

The night she went into the temple that all were forbidden to go into. It was dedicated to darkness and light but no one had ever given much thought to what would happen if they would abandon it. Once it eventually was abandoned, it cursed everyone that went inside of it. Some people never made it out alive.

(Y/n)'s older brother had gotten angry at her. She had, for the fifth time, stolen from the wealthier people in the village, but even though she wasn't caught, her parents and brother knew about it and they were disappointed in her. She lived among a poor family that had strick moral values which was why the whole family, excluding (y/n), thought it was a good idea to punish her severely.

Yes, they sent her to the forbidden temple and that was where her flashback of a dream ended. She woke up to find that it was daytime and that Add was gone. He must had gotten tired of watching over her. (Y/n) stretched a little before standing up to look around.

She was about to walk off when she heard a voice say, "Where are you going?" The voice startled her and she whirled around to face the person who had spoken. Her new wings that she had no real control over sprouted quickly from her back. She relaxed only a little when she realized that it was just Add. Her wings disappeared and she looked up to where he sat in a tree.

"Why are you up there?" (y/n) asked him but he didn't answer her. He simply jumped down, landed soundlessly, and walked past her. "Let's go," he spoke as he kept going to whatever destination he had in mind. She followed behind him still wondering why he was in the tree.

She kept herself from yawning at least seven times before they stopped again. A very large cliff was in front of them or more like a huge crack in the earth. It was like someone had carved a rectangular hole into the ground. Add was at its edge looking down into the vast opening. (Y/n)'s eyes went wide and she reached after him a bit too late as Add leaned over the ledge and fell. She looked down after him and saw him vanish into the darkness below.

Now she was confused. Following him, however, was not an option. If someone jumps off of a cliff, you don't jump after them. It was a basic concept that her parents had made sure she learned even as a child. She looked down at the darkness below once more when she noticed something. The light from the still rising sun slightly reflected off of the darkness and a small breeze could be felt although there was no wind blowing from the skies above.

Add must have known this but (y/n) still refused to jump without knowing what awaited her. Without any warning, Add reappeared from the darkness. He was floating? Well, no. He was standing on some type of machines that were floating. He looked at her with the same bored expression that he'd used on the hunters.

"You can fly right? So why didn't you follow me?" he asked. Her wings suddenly appeared and she looked back at them only for them to disappear before meeting Add's gaze.

"I can't control them, so no I can't fly and I still don't know who you are so you shouldn't have expected me to blindly follow you the entire time," (y/n) responded.

Add stared at her for a few seconds before saying quite conclusively, "So you're pretty smart after all." He returned to the surface on his little contraption that allowed him to float and he picked her up. (Y/n) did not protest although something told her that she should have. He zoomed the both of them down into whatever awaited on the other side of the darkness below them.
