Here's another update from Wolf-chan! Hope you all enjoy!
____________________________________(Y/n) stood and stared at that door for a good five minutes before she sighed and made her way to the small bed in her room. She didn't understand Add very well, and it bothered her greatly. She felt the need to be on edge when she was around him although she felt like she could trust him.
Despite that, she would need to watch his every. It was always a safe but uneasy feeling present whenever he was around. Most of this was because she knew not of Add's motives to help her. (Y/n) stopped thinking about the strange boy and redirected her thoughts to the book that she was holding on to.
Once she was comfortably on her bed under the scratchy, but otherwise warm, wool blanket Add had given her, she looked at the cover of the book in an attempt to decifer what it read. She couldn't understand it, but she still tried to say it outloud which resulted in her saying some warpped version of "Basic Alphabet For Beginning Learners". She knew that she'd said it wrong because it didn't sound right to her.
"Wow. That was awful. Yeah, you are most definitely going to need my help," a voice said.
"What the hell!" (y/n) shouted as she dropped the book and jumped away from it thinking that the voice had come from it.
"Hey, I didn't mean to scare you and watch you language. A kid your age should use words like that," the voice said. It wasn't her fault that she'd learned to speak from the people who held her captive. They weren't exactly the best of role models, so her choice of words could get a little inappropriate at times. (Y/n) looked around the room frantically in search of the source of the voice.
"Who are you?" she said to the voice aa she continued her search. Nothing was in sight that had the capability of speaking.
"I am the reason you are still alive. I am also kind of the reason you were enslaved. Sorry about that," the voice said.
"You didn't answer my question!" (y/n) said as she willed her wings to appear. To her surprise, they did.
"Whoa, no need to get hostile. I'm Mitsu. You talked to me when you went into the temple that day. I gave you the temple's power to keep it out of the hands of evil. You seriously don't remember?" Mitsu said.
"What? I don't know you! Show yourself or else I'll attack!" (y/n) said. She knew that she couldn't attack what she couldn't see, but it was the best bluff she could come up with at the moment.
"You can't harm me. I'm inside your consciousness. I don't actually have a physical form. Geez, I can't believe I have to explain all of this again," Mitsu said. (Y/n) immediately panicked.
"You're in my head?! Get out! Get out! Get out!" she said while shaking her head in an attempt to get Mitsu out.
"Okay, first of all, just stop. If you somehow managed to remove me from your consciousness, you'll die. Also, it's impossible to get rid of me. I've been here helping you the entire time. Ever since you left the temple that day. I was just a little busy trying to keep you from exploding," Mitsu said.
"I'm going to explode??!" (y/n) shouted. Telling someone they would explode wasn't the best thing to do.
"Well not anymore. You were being too good. By that I mean that you were throwing off your internal balance. By not fighting your captors back with your power, you caused you darkness to go dormant which isn't a good thing. Your light was growing too much and it would have killed you so I ate it," Mitsu explained. (Y/n) paused to be sure she heard that correctly.
"You ate the light?" (y/n) questioned. Even with her somewhat limited knowledge, (y/n) knew that eating light was not possible.
"Well, yeah of course I did. I thrive off of light. It's literally my name! Well, it's what my name means. Light. My sister was Mari. She's the reason everyone that went into the temple usually died. Yeah she was pretty bad," Mitsu ranted.
(Y/n) sat there a little calmer than she was a few minutes ago. She was taking the whole ordeal quite well. The whole ordeal was still quite strange though.
"So you ate the excess light to keep me from dying. That sounds weird but okay. Wait, did your sister eat darkness? Was that why she was so bad?" (y/n) asked Mitsu.
"Yup. Yup. See, you're smart. She is still looking for me as we speak. She kind of wants me dead. I may or may not have stolen her power and gave it to you along with my own. Oops..." Mitsu said. Mitsu was starting to make more sense but less sense at the same time if that was at all possible.
"You're getting on my nerves now. How come you've never spoken to me before. You say that you've been in my consciousness all this time so why haven't you helped me. You seem like you're able to do something useful yet for the past five years, you haven't said a thing to me. I can understand that I was only two when we supposedly met, but I'm seven now," (y/n) said.
She grew angrier with every few words. Mitsu was silent. "Hey I'm talking to you!" (y/n) said. Mitsu sighed and then a woman with black cat ears and unusually long black hair materialized in front of her from a mysterious black smoke that came from nowhere. She had on an all black outfit. Her irises were a pearly white. "Mitsu?" (y/n) asked. The woman nodded and then sat on the bed next to her. "I thought you couldn't take a physical form," (y/n) said with a scowl.
"I'm not actually here. You are the only one able to see me. Look I truely am sorry about not helping you. I was just afraid that my sister would find me if I helped you to much. I can only communicate with you if I use some of the energy you have. Using that energy would have lead her right to us which meant my death and possibility even yours," Mitsu said. (Y/n) understood now. Mitsu was being a complete coward, yet she was sonehow protecting her from any further harm in a way.
"Okay so why are you talking to me now if you know Mari will find you. Is it because you aren't afraid anymore?" Mitsu's tail, which (y/n) hadn't noticed until just then, began to sway a little more.
"I wasn't scared...okay maybe a little but that isn't why. This library that you're in. It somehow blocks anything from getting in and out of it. I can't even send any messages back to the temple. This library is also dangerous. It seems to want you dead. I can hear its faint whispers but it's enchantments won't work on you because you aren't fully human anymore," Mitsu said as she licked her hands a little and whipped them over parts of her hair and ears.
"Wait so that means Add is in danger. He's human right?" (y/n) said. Mitsu tilted her head at the girl.
"I'm suprised that you aren't suprised that you aren't fully human. You're a strange one aren't you but you've always been this way. Yes, that boy who saved you is in danger but it's already too late to save him from the library's enchantment although I won't discourage you from trying to break it. You shouldn't trust that boy though. He's up to something. I can sense it," Mitsu said. (Y/n) would have responded to Mitsu but she suddenly felt too tired to even move.
She felt herself go limp and she fell over on her side and began to drift off into a dream. "Oh! Sorry, I used too much of your energy! I should have known that you hadn't completely recharged from that fight earlier. Welp, sweet dreams my warrior!" Mitsu said. It was the last thing (y/n) heard before she began dreaming about soft blankets and warm food. Good food and not the kind that she was fed while she was being held captive.
