A new chapter for all of you who want to finish this story. Here it is!
____________________________________"Mitsu, let's leave. There's no reason for us to stay here," (y/n) said as the cat entered the room by phasing through the door. She had been thinking about what to do next once Add left the room, and she now had her mind made up.
"N-nya?! Wait why? You have a lot of enemies out there. Plus, this library protects me, uh, I mean us from Mari. If we leave, she'll know our location every time I communicate with you!" Mitsu said. (Y/n) glared at her.
"So what. Let Mari show up. It's not like I care whether or not you talk to me anymore. All you've been doing is telling me lies over and over again," she told the cat. Mitsu changed to her human form, and sat next to her.
"You and I both know that you don't really mean that. I am still a part of your consciousness, so I know what you think of me. As sad as it may be, you still see me as a friend, and I can tell that you want to change me. It's far too late for that," Mitsu said. (Y/n) didn't want to believe Mitsu, but for once the cat was telling the truth.
"I'm still leaving," she said to Mitsu as she tugged the blanket tighter around her shoulders. Add gave her the blanket before he left her in his lab. Just thinking about what he could have possibly gathered about her made her hatred for him grow even more, but she couldn't bring herself to act out any of it.
Add was a friend to her before he became an enemy. That's usually how things turned out in the world. (Y/n) had read in a book that before someone becomes your enemy, they were most likely first your friend. At the time, (y/n) never believed that Add could become an enemy to her, but now she wasn't so sure. Yes, he'd saved her life countless times while she could actually count the number of times she'd done the same, only five. Now she didn't know whether he'd done it because he cared about her or because he just needed more time to experiment on her.
(Y/n) stood up and headed out of the lab with Mitsu following behind her, still in her human form. "You're putting us in danger. Last time you fought against Mari's assassins, we almost died," Mitsu said from behind her.
"And even then, you had no intention to tell me anything. You were going to let us die with your secrets following you to our graves," (y/n) snapped. Mitsu stayed quiet after that. "Besides, this time I won't fight Mitsu's assassins. I'll fight her," (y/n) said. She'd been walking around the library with no real destination in mind as she began to pull random books off of the shelves.
"Nya, what are you doing?" Mitsu asked. (Y/n) looked at her with a bit of skepticism.
"Shouldn't you know. You're a part of my consciousness right. Can't you read my mind," (y/n) said as she got a fifth book.
"I can only do that when I purposely pry into your thoughts which I haven't actually been doing often. I am light so I still have some good in me unless you want me to cross that line too nya," Mitsu said. (Y/n) shook her head.
"Okay fine, I'll tell you. I'm taking some books that I haven't read so I won't be entirely bored on my journey," she told Mitsu. Neither of them spoke until (y/n) had gotten eleven books on random topics and made it back to her room. "Okay lets go. I won't be taking anything but what I have in my hands now," (y/n) said once she put the books and a little food in a traveler's bag. "Return Mitsu. I have to leave before Add comes to check on me."
Mitsu did as she was told, but of course, she had something to say. "What makes you so sure he'll come check on you?" Mitsu questioned. (Y/n) released her wings and walked out of the room.
"Because I'm his experiment just like you said," she answered as she began to fly to the library's exit. The night had began to turn into day already, and the sun was slightly visible. So was Add. He stood at the library's edge and seemed to be looking up at the sky.
(Y/n) had no idea how long he had been outside of the library but he would be okay since it had only been about an hour since she last saw him. He noticed her hovering there watching him and asked, "So you're actually going to leave?"
(Y/n) didn't answer him, she could tell he already knew the answer to his question. "Go ahead," he said as he turned to face her. There was no emotion displayed on his face as he stared at her floating figure.
"You aren't...going to stop me?" she asked him in disbelief. She expected him to put up a fight as he usually did when someone tried to take something that he claimed to need for his nasod research. He shook his head.
"Nope. There's no reason for me to put in any effort to stop you if you've already made up your mind," he said. The words hurt her far worse than she'd expected them to.
"You really don't care...Mitsu was right," (y/n) said as she turned away from Add, ready to fly to wherever her wings would take her.
"Wait, before you leave, I want to ask you something," she heard Add say. She stayed still but didn't face him. He probably knew she wouldn't anyway. "Why are you leaving? Where will you go? How do you know that you'll be safe wherever you end up?" he asked.
"Those were three questions. You were only supposed to ask one question," (y/n) said. She left without giving Add any other sort of reply. She wouldn't allow herself to fall for his trap or his silly mind games. (Y/n) knew better than to trust anything he said now, so she left him there outside of the library and vowed that she wouldn't fly back ever again.
