"Hurry up Add! You're going to make me miss it!" (y/n) whinned while Add put the finishing touches on his improved alarm system. It was all a part of his efforts to keep (y/n) protected. Ever since he'd learned that she wanted to see the skys every now and then, he would allow her to go right outside of the library every two days as long as he went with her.

The only problem with this particular day was that they'd just gone outside yesterday night, but (y/n) had discovered something in a book she was reading earlier that day. She had read something about some sort of meteorite shower or whatever it was she said. (Y/n) didn't stop bothering him about it until he agreed to let her see it since it had happened to fall on this day.

"Can you wait five more minutes?" he said, annoyed by her persistent pleas.

"No way! You said that five minutes ago! We have to go now!" Add sighed at her. Finishing the alarm system could wait if it meant that (y/n) would leave him alone when he finished it later on.

"Alright fine, we can go, but you have to leave me alone when I finish this later," Add said standing up from his lab chair.

"Deal!" she exclaimed and grabbed his wrist and dragged him out of the lab. Once they were outside, (y/n) quickly ran to the spot that they usually sat. "Crap, I think we missed it!" She looked up, her eyes darting to different places in search for the falling stars.

"You're just being impatient. Just wait," Add said as he sat next to her but keeping his guard up.

"You say that but I think we missed it. I still don't see anything," (y/n) said with a pout.

"Stop acting so childish about it," Add complained hoping that they really hadn't missed it. He'd be held at hostage to make it up to her.

"I am not acting childish!" (y/n) said as she glared at him. She hated being called childish even if she did act like a kid sometimes. She was about to say something else but Add stopped her.

"Look before you actually do miss it," he said as he pointed to the first of the falling stars. (Y/n)'s attention was immediately caught the astronomical phenomenon. He took her hand and sat down in the grass which he absolutely hated doing but endured for (y/n)'s sake. He was certainly not an outdoorsy type.

They watched the colorful streaks flash across the sky. (Y/n) was entirely distracted by them, so Add took that opportunity to wrap an arm around her waist without her seeming to notice. He was startled to find that (y/n) had indeed taken notice and leaned against him to watch the remainder of the celestial display.

"Why do things have to end so soon?" (y/n) sadly asked once the sky returned to normal.

"We where out here for almost thirty minutes. That wasn't exactly a short amount of time," Add replied.

"Stupid Mastermind. Can't you take a break from logic for once in your life?" (y/n) teased.

"Whatever Reaper Angel. If you hadn't been so into dying stars, you wouldn't be so disappointed," Add shot back.

"Shut up!" (y/n) said while laughing. Add liked that laugh of hers. He wanted her to laugh more often.

"We should get going," he said as he let her go, stood, and offered a hand to help her up.

"I can get up on my own," (y/n) said smacking his hand away. She smiled at him all the while, keeping him a good mood.

Add shrugged and said, "If you fall, it won't be my fault." (Y/n) just rolled her eyes at him and helped herself up just as she said she would. They were almost to the library when the the library's defense system suddenly activated and started shooting at something out of sight.

Add, out of mere instinct, pulled (y/n) to him, hugging her close in fear that she'd be taken away. The defense systems kept shooting but suddenly stopped as a boy, who seemed to be a good age older that he and (y/n) were, appeared with a white dog following behind him. Add knew for a fact that the white dog was none other than Mari.

"Who the hell are you?!" Add shouted at the newcomer as Mitsu appeared next to him in her cat form.

"Who me? I don't think it's important for you to know just yet, but do tell me what your name is," the person said.

"Add, what do I do?" (y/n) asked seriously keeping her voice low enough to go unheard. She had tensed up when Mari appeared. Add didn't want to let (y/n) go, but he knew she could protect herself to some extent.

"Good to see you again sister. Ready to die now?" Mari said to Mitsu as the cat made an appearance.

"I don't really know. I think I want to live another thousand years first," Mitsu said jokingly which seemed to make Mari angry.

"Well you don't seem to want to tell me anything. I guess I could tell you my name first. It's Jenji. You will want to know the name of the person that ruins your life," Jenji said just as (y/n) summoned her double sided spear. "You shouldn't do that," he said as Add prepared his dynamos for an attack.

"Mari, get the girl so we can go," Jenji said as he turned away from them and began to walk away. Before Add could register what was going on, Mari appeared in front of him in her human form as though she teleported there. Just before she could attack, Mitsu, also now in human form, stepped in front of Mari and took the attack from Mari's dagger. Add took this time to teleport himself and (y/n) away by using his dynamos. (Y/n) called Mitsu back into her mind.

"(Y/n) run! I'll stall her as long as I can but you have to get out of here!" Add said as he pushed (y/n) away and faced Mari. The dog was a lot faster than last time and she had somehow disabled his defense systems too easily. (Y/n) didn't hesitate to fly away from the scene as fast as she could. Add didn't worry about her though. The two of them had gone over a plan in case something like this would happen.

(Y/n) would flee to a town that was two days out from the library, and Add would wait for her to come back in about a week when things will have calmed down. Mari stayed to fight him, which he found strange. It was too late when he finally figured out Jenji's plan. (Y/n)'s scream could be heard a good distance away. Mari immediately retreated at its sound, and Add felt like his heart shattered. It was a mistake to send her away, a mistake his enemies were counting on.

Add wasted no time in going after (y/n). The sudden adrenaline rush that he'd gotten boosted his speed quite a lot. He kept going, but no matter how far he went, he didn't find any of them. (Y/n) was gone. He was about to break right then and there when he suddenly found a clue. Part of (y/n)'s shirt had been snagged on a tree branch, but it had blended in so well since it was black.

Add didn't know if she was dead or not, but he wouldn't rest until he found her. He went back to the library and got everything he needed to follow (y/n)'s trail. Once that was done, Add wasted no time in finding her because if he didn't find her soon, he just might lose his sanity.
