There Mitch was, in front of the big fireplace, stood frozen. His brown eyes stare at those light green eyes and big black pupils.
Silence.
Mitch silently looked at the cat and the cat looked back.
The cat blinked.
"Oh... OHMAHFUCKGOD SCOTT HELP MEEEEEE!!!!!"
-
There they were, in front of the big fireplace. Two pairs of human eyes stare at the furless cat.
"Are you serious, babe? I mean, you cleaned the fireplace and this little boy stood in there?", Scott whispered for no reason.
"Why would I lie to you, Scotty? I freaked out! This cat appeared from nowhere, stood in our locked fireplace, and this is the first time of the year we have opened it!", Mitch stood far behind his boyfriend, crossed his arms.
Scott knelt down, slowly talked as if the cat could understand him, "Boy. I don't know where you came from, but if you belong to someone else, you can leave through that front door, we opened it. If God sent you here for us as our Christmas present, you can stay. I'll leave you for a while, thinking wisely, okay?"
"That's ridiculous, Scott", the brunette sniffed annoyingly and headed to the kitchen, poured himself a cup of hot cacao.
"C'mon, babe! He's adorable! He has the most adorable grey skin and green eyes and sassy face..."
"Nah ah, let me stop you there. The most adorable green eyes is always meant for Avi's and sassy face is mine."
Scott chuckled at his lover's childish, "I love you the best but pleaseeee can we adopt him? He is a sassy beautiful sphinx cat and I love him already."
"Another reason to kick him out", Mitch left the kitchen, frowned at Scott teasingly as he passed by him, "You love him faster than you loved me."
The baritone chased after Mitch, loudly groaned, "That's not fair!"
-
"Wyatt, get outta there or I'll throw you to trash bag with all that dust."
Mitch turned his back to the sphinx cat, busily rearranged the decorations. Wyatt meowed as he jumped on the sofa then jumped to Mitch's shoulder.
"Meowww."
"I know you love the fireplace Wyatt but daddy and papa have to burn it up for this Christmas.", the tenor kissed Wyatt's mouth quickly. "Why don't you go and wake daddy up? Papa needs him to bring the logs inside."
Meowed one more time and Wyatt ran to bedroom, left Mitch alone. He smiled as his eyes followed the cat's small steps to their bedroom. Not so long after, Scott came outside and kissed him lazily on his nose, Wyatt laid nicely on his arms.
"We look like a happy family", the baritone still put his chin on Mitch's head, his sight focused on the elegant ring on Mitch's finger. "We should adopt one more Grass-Hoying."
Sighed, Mitch turned to his husband, hugged him, "I'm so done with just this little Wyatt, and you want more?"
"Babe, this one will be different.", Scott smiled shyly, "This one will call us papa and daddy, by his, or her, own voice."
The blonde giggled as he saw the opposite's eyes widen, and Wyatt meowed as if he knew what was happening too. Pulled both of them into his arms, Scott's kissed fell on Mitch's face like rain.
"Yes, Mitchy, don't be freak out please, I love you, and we gonna adopt a baby."
