A/N: Sweet after bitter, sounds logic, right? I love you all ;)

It was another normal day of Avi Kaplan as he walked down the street to his house.
Okay, maybe not too normal.
Normally, he drives home on his luxurious car, rushes to his beautiful wife back home. But today, he decided to walk home, his eyes wandered from those to these stores.
The street was happier than ever. Lights hung over his heads and people cheered everywhere. Snow was falling and kids were playing with these soft, white flakes. It was Christmas, after all. He called his family to excuse from their regular Hanukkah and Christmas, he wanted to spend his time with his wife this year. Grandma sent them a big meal and totally okay with his absence, just told him to take care of the love of his life carefully. He would, even grandma didn't remind him at all. Esther warned him not to hurt her in a serious tone, and he didn't know why Essy had to be that serious...
His eyes were suddenly caught by a shiny necklace behind a jewelry shop's glass. It was really beautiful and elegant with a red heart pendant. It would look wonderful on his wife, especially when she was on stage. He decided to give it a change.
A woman walked to him as he watched the necklace through the thick glass.
"May I help you, sir?", with a sweet voice, she asked.
"That necklace," his eyes still couldn't leave its beauty, "I want to buy it."
She chuckled, "We display it, sir. We don't think anyone can afford it. The pendant is made by red diamond, the rarest of them all. It's not that normal like ruby or so."
"Who say no one can?", his lips curled to a smirk, "If I can't buy my lady a gift that deserves her, then what am I working for? I'll take it, please."
The woman's eyes widen, and she called the manager out to make the trade. Avi made a quick call to his trustworthy jeweler to come and see the pendant, and he just wrapped it once it was checked.

Avi left his shoes at the door, came in to see his lady calmly stood to the window, had some papers in her hand. Beau, their cat, stayed silently on her shoulder. The cat lady jumped to the ground as Avi came closer to his wife, slowly wrapped his arms around her.
"Still work on Christmas, Kirst?", he purred in his low voice and she almost dropped the script.
Kirstie, beautiful with blond curls fell upon her back, lightly chuckled, her hands put on his hands, "I have a new act in January, and it's never too soon to prepare."
"But we have a date today," Avi pouted, fake a sad face.
"I never say that I won't go to the date with you, silly.", Kirstie turned around and kissed her husband quick on his lips, "Just wait for me to go change."
He nodded and went to feed Olaf and Pascal while waiting. He left Beau's food up high in case the dogs wanted to steal her food. He believed they wouldn't, Kirstie had them well trained, but just in case. He checked the necklace box one more time before put it to his blazer's pocket. Beau lazily looked at him, her green eyes blinked at him as if she knew all he wanted to do tonight. Avi scratched lovingly behind Beau's ears then knelt down to pet Olaf and Pascal.
"Be good kids, all right? Daddy and mommy have a long night waiting ahead."
Olaf barked happily as Pascal licked his hand. He was not so much a pet person but there he was, stayed with three pets. Loved her changed his life so much, but he wasn't regret.
