"I can't believe that my baby girl finally get married!", Angelica exclaimed happily as she hugged her little daughter in her arms. "I'm so happy for you, baby girl."
Kirstie chuckled as she followed her mom inside, sighed enjoyably at the familiar scent lingered around the house. "Thank you, mom. I can't believe I'm getting married, either."
"He is the perfect man for you, darling, I know it." Angelica brought some cookies out for Kirstie, smiled at her childish giggles. As Kirstie bit a cookie, the mom asked questioningly at the missing place beside her daughter. "So, why are you here today? Without Avi? Where's my dearly new son, I want to hug that sweet boy."
"We need to take something from home." hesitantly, the soprano said. "Something old."

Drawn back to some weeks ago, that was when Avi decided to ask her to be his wife. Different from when they engaged on the stage with fans around and their bandmates smiled widely at them, this time, he proposed to her when they sat in their private movie room with the 70 inches which was playing "Lost In Translation".
"I sure as hell don't know what to do if you refect me, so I'd prefer to do it indoor.", he said, almost like whispered as the beautiful sight of Japan and one of the greatest beauty of all time, Scarlett Johansson, was played on the screen.
Neither of them paid attention on the movie no more since the moment Avi basically asked her to marry him. Shook her head lightly, Kirstie tilted her head to kiss him. "You know I won't reject you, my fiancé."
"Anticipation." Avi mumbled against her lips, and even her eyes was closed, she could feel his smile. Blindly glided his finger on her engagement ring, the bass leant in to kiss her again. "I should get used to the new pronoun you may call me, my wife."
Giggled at him, Kirstie put her arms around his neck, kiss his hair quickly. "You will nail the pronoun in no time, hubby."
"Baby, quick question.", Avi suddenly said when they pulled apart. "What do you think about the 'something' tradition?"
-
"Something old, hm.", Angelica tapped her feet to the ground, thought about something that her daughter worth gaining.
Kirstie put the last cookie to her mouth, looked at her mom's sudden exciting expression curiously. The cookies were the best, by the way. Her mom always the better cook than she was.
"Follow me, dear."
After just a minute to the upstair, the came in Angelica's room. As the older woman used a key to open a hidden drawer, Kirstie took a moment to look around the old room that so long she didn't come in again. Creamy, vintage curtains and sheet, everything just stayed the same as when she was still a child, but a little amount of loneliness lingering around the room. Kirstie didn't have any problem if her mom seeing some other men, but Angelica said no. The older woman got enough of man since her father broke her apart.
"Here is it.", Angelica exhaled as she opened a small box and gave it to Kirstie. The soprano picked the thin thing up, which turned out to be a beautiful necklace. "This is from my mom, your grandma, darling." Angelica explained. "I wore it on my wedding day. Do you know why I give you a necklace instead of anything else, my dear?" the older woman asked. She picked up the pendant, and smiled at her only child. "When you wear this, Kirstie, the pendant will be close to your heart. I want you to remember that family always by your side, and I hope you keep me, keep us in your heart too."
Kirstie, as a sensitive child she was in front of her mom, already had tears watered her eyes. Pull Angelica into a tight hug, she mumbled happily. "Mom, I'll keep you in my heart, forever. I love you so."
