For the first time of six years, Kevin had stuck alone in Pentatonix's mutual house at Christmas. They move to this mutual house every time they work on an album. This time, for PTX Vol VI, the band moved here a month ago. Just the five of them and Esther and Ben led to too much bores, so when Christmas comes, everyone quickly escaped from this house for a free week. Well, actually, everyone, except Kevin. His parents already gone for a private holiday, so he had no reason to come back home. He decided to stay at mutual house.
It had been three days since the holiday started. As he excepted, Scömìche went away at the first day of the holiday, Ben disappeared the second and Kirstie and Avi just had catched their train 20 minutes ago.
He didn't know he would miss his friends this fast. He closed his eyes.
"Hey, Kurvy? Want some hot chocolate?"
"Oh my God holy moly!", he jumped at the female's voice and finally, fell off the couch.
Something sounded like a box dropped to the floor, then the woman ran to him, worried looks on her face.
Esther.
His heart fell right down to his stomach.
"Are you okay, Kevin? I'm sorry!", Esther ran to him and helped him get up. She hugged him, "Sorry, sorry. Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, momma bear. C'mon, Essy, I'm fineeee.", Kevin laughs, pats her back, and hopes she won't hear his fast heartbeats.
She let him go, smile appeared on her lips.
"You don't go with Avi?", he walked to the doorway to see a cartoon box lied there. He carried it back to their living room, while Esther made them some hot chocolate in the kitchen.
"No. Being a Kavi's third wheel won't be a great idea.", Esther giggled.
"Been there, done that."
Kevin opened the box, revealed a huge amount of decorations, they made him wow.
"I think although we are the only two here, we won't pass Christmas.", Esther placed a cup of hot chocolate next to him.
"Sure you're right," he agreed, "We should start now, shouldn't we?"
"Why not, Kurvy?"
Not so long after, the night fell, and Pentatonix's mutual house filled with red, green and white decorations. Kevin and Esther stood side by side, lookes proudly at their works.
"Perfect." Esther smiled, clapped her hands.
"They are.", Kevin grabbed some pillows for them two.
Esther carelessly murmured, "Just like you."
She didn't hear his reply, so Esther turned around and found a surprised Kevin stared at him. She chuckled, "What?"
"What did you say--", the beatboxer stamped his words.
"I'm telling you I love you, Kevin.", she gently cupped his face, "You can leave, or kiss me right now before I hate my stupid crush for you."
She didn't have to tell Kevin twice, and she didn't have to think twice, too. That kiss is the most wonderful kiss she has ever have.
"Wow, Kev.", she exhaled, "We had such some good decorations, huh?"
Kevin smiled, whispered softly, "Yeah, but you are the best, anyway. Merry Christmas."
