Chapter 9

In the morning I woke up and shot out of the bed, knocking dads arm off me.

He jumped, “What’s wrong?”

“School,” I said standing up.

“You’re staying home.” He said, “Calm down.”

“Oh, why?”

“You were up till after five.” He said, “So I decided to let you stay home.”

“Where’s mom?” I asked.

“She woke up earlier, but I stayed in bed because you were still asleep on me.”

“Oh,” I said, “I’m going back to sleep then.” I lay back in the bed and dad got up.

I woke up around noon and went to the kitchen; “You slept late,” Dad smiled kissing my cheek.

My phone went off; I went to my room, “Hello?”

“Hey Bella,” Brian said. “What’s up?”

“Just woke up.”

“Can I take you out for lunch?”

“I don’t know,” I said “I have to ask my dad.”

“Okay.”

I hung up and went downstairs. “Hey dad,” I said. “Can I go out to lunch with Brian?”

“I don’t know honey.” He said. “Ask your mom.”

I went to the kitchen, “Mom, Brian invited me out for lunch; can I please go?”

“Did you ask your dad?”

“He said ask you.”

“It’s fine with me baby.”

“Thank you.” I hugged her and went to my room.

I text Brian: Hey I can go, just give me an hour to get ready.

I got in the shower; after twenty minutes I got out and went to my room wrapped in my towel. What was I doing? I wanted to go but I was still scared. Why did Brian Want to go out with me? I went to my closet and looked through my clothes. I decided on a pink plaid mini skirt and hot pink top with a pin on flower on the shoulder and my black heals.

I went to the bathroom to my make-up and straighten my hair. I went downstairs, and text Brian to tell him I was ready.

Mom said, “You look cute Bella,”

“Thank you momma. Where’s dad?”

“I’m right here, you look cute sweetie.”

Brian pulled up and I went outside.
