My alarm went off at six as usual. I shut it off and noticed a sleeping Brian, I snuggled closer to him, not wanting to get up.
I groaned and got up anyway. My shower did not help wake me up. I went downstairs in my pajamas.
"Dad, can I please stay home today?" I asked hopefully.
"Are you sick?" Dad asked.
"No," I answered honestly.
"Go get ready for school." Dad said, "Tomorrow is Friday then you can sleep the weekend away."
I pulled my hair up in a loose bun, did my make up, and went to my closet, not sure what to wear. I pulled on skinny jeans and an Avenged Sevenfold shirt.
Mom dropped me off and I went to class. No one was in the yet so i put my head down hoping for a short nap. I was dozing off when the bell rang loud and long.
Victoria was her typical bubbly self, "Do you wanna come over after school?"
"I'm going home and going straight to bed," I said, "I'm so tired."
"Why," she asked disappointed.
"I haven't slept much," I said, "I don't know why." She dropped the subject and class began.
By the time lunch got here I was in zombie mode. I bought a soda hoping the caffeine would wake me up a little. Victoria was sitting at the table so I joined her. No one else sat with us anymore and I did not understand why.
"Why don't the others sit with us anymore" I asked Victoria.
"They don't like you," she answered, "and they don't want me to be your friend. They tried to make me choose between you guys and when I didn't they stopped talking to me. I wasn't gonna stop being your friend just cause they told me to."
"Do you know why?" I asked. "Did I do something wrong?"
"They didn't tell me," Victoria answered, "so I don't know what their problem is."
"It's no big deal." I said shrugging, "I didn't come here to be liked."
"I know," she said sighing. "I'm sorry though."
"Shit, I'm not," I said, "I don't have many friends and that's how I like it."
"Me too." Victoria said hugging me.
The rest of the day flew and I did not have a lot of homework, just algebra. I did most of it in study hall but I still fifteen problems left. It was fairly easy, all I had to do is solve for X, or any letter u chose to use.
Mom picked me up, "How was your day?" She asked smiling.
"Good," I answered, "I found out that none of the girls I met when I first started school like me, so Victoria is my only friend. They tried to make her choose and when she didn't they stopped talking to her."
"I'm sorry honey." Mom said sighing.
"Shit, I'm not," I said, "I never liked having a lot of friends."
"Do you know why?"
"No," I said, "I didn't go to school to be liked, I still have Victoria though and that's all the friends I need."
"What about Alyssa?" Mom asked.
"She's my friend too," I answered, "but she doesn't go to school with me. Her and Victoria are my best friends forever, mom."
"Maybe you can introduce them." She suggested smiling as we pulled up.
"That's a great idea, mom." I said getting out and going inside to finish my homework.
When I finished I put my books in my bag and changed into something comfortable, fuzzy Gir pajama pants, a green tank top and a white V-neck shirt. I made sure the tank top was showing out the top and bottom of my shirt and went downstairs.
Dad was outside smoking so I lit one, too. It instantly relaxed my nerves, and after the day I had, I felt calm and at ease.
"Mom told me what happened with ur friends." Dad said, "I'm really sorry, Bella."
"I'm not," I said, "I've never had many friends so I really don't give a shit, I don't like having a lot of friends."
"Did Victoria say why?" He asked.
"She said she didn't know." I answered honestly.
"Well then u guys don't need them," he said, "you're better off without those kind of people."
"Exactly, dad." I finished smoking and went inside.
Mom was cooking dinner, "It's almost ready," she said, "why don't you set the table, Bells?"
"Okay," I said smiling and getting plates. "Who wants what to drink?"
"Tea please," dad said sitting down.
"Mom?" I asked.
"Tea please," mom answered after setting dinner on the table and sitting next to dad.
I poured three glasses with tea and took my seat on the other side of dad.
"Thank you, sweetie." Mom said as she helped make plates.
"Thank you for dinner mom," I said smiling, "it smells amazing." Mom made limon chicken with steamed broccoli and macaroni and cheese.
"Besides what happened at lunch," mom asked, "how was your day?"
"It was good," I answered, "just long as usual."
"Does anyone besides Victoria know you're our daughter?" Dad asked me.
"I don't think so, dad," I answered, "but if anyone did, they don't make a big deal out of it."
"That's good." Mom said smiling.
"I trust Victoria not to say anything." I said, "At least until I leave."
"Oh, I meant to tell you," dad said looking at me, "the tour has been postponed until the summer."
"Oh my god," I said excitedly, "I can't wait to tell Victoria."
After dinner I helped clear the table and load the dishwasher. "Thank you for helping." Mom said smiling.
"You're welcome, mom." I said going outside to smoke and text Victoria.
Me: The tour has been postponed until the summer ;)
Victoria: OMG!!! That means ur not leaving me.
Me: LOL...what's up?
Victoria: Nothing much just bored ;) what are you doing?
Me: Outside smoking a cigarette. We just got done eating dinner.
Victoria: Me too what did you have?
Me: Limon chicken you?
Victoria: Chicken alfredo, it was really good LOL
Me: Sounds good.
Victoria: I need a cigarette so bad.
Me: Im sorry if I was there I would give you one LOL :)
Victoria: I know you would ;)
I put out my cigarette and went inside, mom and dad were watching a movie. I went to my room and went to sleep.
