Here Comes the 'Bride'

Windy! That was all magnus could think about, how windy it was on the back of a motor bike. ,He wasn't even worried about the fact that it was his wedding day, or that Tessa was upfront. He wasn't wearing any protective gear, but Tessa had that covered. The church wasn't far away though so it didn't really matter to him much. He just wanted to be married to the love of his life and enjoy as many warm embraces as he likes from Alec without worrying about him leaving him.

They arrived at the church and both jumped off of the bike, Tessa after Magnus. Gasped escaped the mouths of the crowd that had gathered outside the church waiting to enter before he did. A small pathway cleared off exited adults and children let him through, the doors swung open and then there was no going back now. He took his place at the alter and watched everyone flood in.

His heart rate began to rise as the seats filled, just knowing that it meant his life would soon focused on only one person. His palms began to sweat and he became extreamely restless. Raphael was only just stood behind him swaying and holding his head. Whilst there was a gain background noise of people muttering and whispering to one another.

Magnus' breathing stopped as his eyes met the blue void of Alec's eyes. He always got lost in the beauty of them but could never say why. They made him speechless, breathless and lightheaded. There was something wrong and it wasn't the dark bags that sat beneath his eyes, or the look of regret that filled the eyes. Alec took a moment to compose himself before he and Clary walked down the isle.

People rose from their seats as the music began to play and Clary slowly walked down the isle with pride which was the opposite of Alec who was shuffling like a brainwashed zombie. A forced smile spread across his face Luke a child who didn't get the present he asked for a Christmas. Clary squeezed his arm in attempt to reassure him about doing this but it didn't work. When he finally reached Magnus he turned to the priest and ignored Magnus completely.

Just like all ceremonies, this I was a complete bore. The eyes slowly floated through the air as Magnus and asked said their vows and then everything changed when the moment of truth came.
"Alec Lightwood" he started, "do you take Magnus bane, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
A look of horror passed through his eyes as he picked the following words with caution. The awkwardness of the silence was sliceable as muttering began to occur around the room.
"What are you doing?" Alec could hear Clary mutter under her breath so only he could hear her. He took a deep breath before speaking his next words.

"No!" he shouted to his own surprise, he clamped his hands over his mouth in shock of how loud he came out. "no, I do not take Magnus to be my husband. I'm sorry Magnus but I can't do this, not right now and I assure you that there is an explanation but please. Just give me till tomorrow." He kissed Alex on the cheek as he ran out of the church, earning looks of disgust, relieve and gasps of horror. Clary walked toward Magnus, asked if he was okay, then followed.

"What are you doing?" Clary tried as she hurried to catch up with Alec. He picked up his pace in attempt to stay away from her but it didn't work, she grabbed his arm and spun him around.
"I can't Mary him if I have last night hanging over my head can I?" He spoke in his soft, calm and relaxing voice clearly pushing say the sadness and fear. At that he turned and place a rune into his left arm and ran off back to the institute.

It was an odd feeling, being alone and scared in the institute in the middle of the day. Everyone would be confusing Magnus right now, picking up the pieces that I scattered. He thought to himself shyly. If only I was brave enough to just tell him. He threw his shoes across his room and stripped his shirt, trousers and socks from his skinny body so he was left with his boxers, and climbed into bed. It took him a grand total of half an hour to cry himself to sleep, but man did it work.
