The portal blew Jace's perfect hair around his head. He was nervous in a sort of way, nervous to see Clary again. Mainly because he hadn't seen her in a while and he doesn't know what happened. Especially with the wedding and all, the first thing he wants to do when he sees Alec is ask him about being married. Jace always wondered how it would feel to be devoted to one and only one person for the rest of their life. As soon as met Clary he felt like he knew the day would come, the day when he too would get married. Jace didn't know wether to dear this or embrace it,and if Alec could embrace it that easily then so could Jace. As he stepped through the portal it was like he was being rotated at high speeds which caused the sensation of nausea to flood through Jace's body. Once he reached the other side, the sensation left Jace's body and he was standing at the front doors to magnus' apartment. Obviously he should be here, you know with his husband. Jace incorrectly assumes.

The front door to magnus' apartment gave Jace a sense of regret. Maybe Clary wouldn't like the surprise that's awaiting her in Italy. He took in a deep breath before he even tried to lift his hand to reach the white knob that sits infront of his stomach. His hand begun to shake as it neared the handle, the index finger on his left hand touched it first. The handle was cold at first, then it slowly warmed up to Jace's touch. The rest of his hand firmly gripped it and then the hesitation kicked in. What if I missed something crucial whilst I was away, what if Clary doesn't want her- Jace broke off as the door opened by itself.
"Don't hang around the door Alec just come-" Magnus stopped in his tracks as he stared at Jace. Clary stepped into Jace's view and stared at him just the way Magnus was. She looked toward him and then whispered into his ear.
"Jace," Clary started as she ran at Jace, arms open wide, "I missed you so much." Jace could feel the tension in Clary's shoulders and pulled back away from the embrace.
"What's wrong?"
"You already know don't you? About Alec and Magnus?"
"By the angel I'm so sorry. I completely forgot." Jace's face suddenly shrunk, his body slouched and he gave Clary another hug.
"I'll go talk to him now." Clary nodded at Jace and took his suitcase. He turned and left the apartment letting Clary stare at him as he left.

Rehearsing what he is going to say and/or do to Alec when he sees him, Jace neared the institute and it terrified him to know that his whole life could be falling apart. Though it was only a feeling and his life isn't falling apart, yet. Jace took the list up where he was met by church who growled at him before rubbing himself across his legs. Jace made his way toward the kitchen, he suspected that he would find his parabatai there but he wasn't. Jace then almost immediately walked to his room where he knocked on the door and was shocked when Alec opened it. Red in the face, Alec stared at Jace for a moment in amazement.
"Have you got a tan?" He started, "I don't like it."
Jace laughed before replying. "Yes, thank you. And no hello, nothing?"
"Hello?"
"We need to talk, you and I!" Jace pushed past Alec into his room before he could object. The door shut behind him and then Alec joined Jace on the bed.
"What happened?" Jace asked, his jaw set tightly. His eyes were fixed onto Alec's and waited there for him to answer.
"It's a long story. I basically woke up in bed with someone." Jace's eyes were wide. " This was the morning of our wedding as well. You want to know the worst part? I can't remember what happened once I got home."
Silence hung, thick in the air which made Alec feel nauseated. Jace stared into space in front of him, no expression in his face and no light in his eyes.
"Who was it?" Jace's voice was stern. This voice scared Alec, he didn't want to lie and definitely didn't want to tell the truth.
"A girl," he whispered through the small gap between his dry lips. That's when Jace stood up, he couldn't take it anymore.
"You slept with a girl the night before your wedding and won't tell your ex fiancé what happened? By the angel Alec, how do you think Magnus is feeling right now?"
Jace let the words sink in a while. A lump had formed in Alec throat, knowing that he disappointed his parabatai hurt him more than anything. He grabbed his stele from his pocket and barged past Jace, throwing the door to his room shut behind him. He quickly scribbled a locking rune onto his door so Jace couldn't get out and headed for the nearest lake.
