The institute was packed, in the middle of the room lay a large stone slab with a white cloth over the body of the victim. Around the room was a sea of white, people from different parts the world. Shadowhunters came to say goodbye to one of their own. Clary stood next to the body on her own. Simon was not allowed into the institute for the ceremony because he was a downworlders, he would have known how to comfort her, how to bring order to her thoughts ina time of grief. One of the silent brothers stood before her and begun the ceremony.
"The family of the deceased will call out the fallen's name." The carried on, pausing for Clary to say the name of the fallen victim.
"J-" she choked, trying not to appear weak Infront of the others, "Jocelyn Fairchild."
It wasn't long before she watched her mother float up in a cloud of golden sparkles, something that reminded her of Magnus. He would have smiled at the sight of the shimmering particles floating upward in the light. They looked beautiful to Clary, as they almost left her sight they turned green, Clary remembering her mother for the last time, saying goodbye.
She stood their without making a sound for a while and before she knew it she was alone. Everybody had left and she was stood up straight not making a sound. She snapped back into the room when she felt a hand on the small of her back, she turned to see her smiling boyfriend. She turned her whole body around to give him a tight embrace.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled into his chest, smelling the usual scent of his body odour and soap. He kissed her on the head and smiled into her scalp. He rubbed her back in small circles as an attempt to sooth her pain.
"Its okay, I understand." Was all he had replied with.
"Any news on Luke's whereabouts?" She asked, looking up into his eyes, hers A blotchy red and puffy. All he could do was shake his head slowly and let her soak his shirt with her tears which spilt.

Mourning had to end quickly though as one of the others shadowhunters came in screaming.
"The body count on those mourners had just increased. Same murderer, definitely supernatural!" They exclaimed briefly. The room went silent for a moment, said goodbye to Clary and got back to work. Clary, Jace, Izzy and Alec meet up in the main room.
"Luke?" Alec asked. Jace shook his head and Alec sighed.
"You don't think it could be-" Clary started, trying not to think of the worst. Clary gave him a squeeze and they racked their brains for answers. Alec flicked good phone out and clearly ripped a message on then ran off a second. Brie long he returned, gauging some of glances from his friend.
"Magnus." Was all he had to say.

They were soon stood next to the three new victims in the park, there were no cops and nobody tried to go near them. Good thing Glamours existed or their work would be much more complicated. Without any warning a sudden gush of wind hit Clary in the face and threatened to push her bsckwark, causing her to let out a small yelp in suprise. Quickly she composed her self and turned to see that it was caused by a portal, from which pushed Magnus Bane out from its swirling colours. His hair was imaculate for someone who had just portaled which made Clary contemplate the shampoo she was using. She shook her head to dismiss the idea and joined their convosation.
"-what am I looking at?" Magnus finished in confusion, a look he commonly gave the shadowhunters. Alec moved around the body so he was facing Magnus and Clary.
"More murders from those I had to drop not so long ago." He said, sighing with his own disappointment. Magnus saw the hurt on his husband's face and crossed the body, tightly embracing him. Slowly Alec began to feel a little better but there was no time waste on emotions now so Magnus said one last thing before getting down to business.
"The law, is the law and the law is hard." He mimicked Jia Penhallow,
"Right. Now what do you require me to do?"
"There is nothing we can do to find out who or what the killer is so we would like you to see if there are any magical traces you can find with the bodies." Clary asked feeling a little like a third wheel, especially after their prank. Magnus nodded and gestured for them to give him some space.
"I'll let you know what I find if I find anything." He stated as they began to walk away.

"Do you think that she'll be alright?" Jace asked, his voice cracking toward the end. As Izzy looked at his face she could see the hurt in his eyes. He was clearly worried about Clary but didn't know how to express his feeling very well to anyone but her. Izzy nodded as she hugged his side and gently rubbed his arm in a soothing manner.
"She will be alright, she just needs something to cheer her up. Some good news or-" she said, being cut off by Jace who stated that he had an idea. Izzy knew exactly what it was so he didn't need to explain but they both needed to plan in just how they were going to do it.
"I know that this will cheer her up and there is no doubt that it won't." Izzy said as her voice reached a slightly higher pitch. This was definitely something that everyone needed right about now. It will push all of the fear and hurt away for one night and give people the fresh feeling that they were longing for right about now.
