Can I go back in? (Part 1 Of The Family Series)

Hiding

Alec woke the next morning with a raging headache. It was like he could almost feel the individual brain cells pulsing as if they were about to burst. This. He though, is worse than a hangover. He knew that this headache was created through all the grief that went he felt but he just couldn't tell Magnus. He couldn't tell him that he thinks he slept with Clary. He could only imagine the pain it would bring Magnus, and what if Jace found out? He would never forgive him after this, surely. This was the last straw. Alec knew what he had to do. His stomach began to growl like a viscous dog which was ready to pounce. The kitchen was deserted and the fridge looked the same. It was a good thing that maryse left some money on the kitchen counter for shopping if it were needed. Soon enough he looked like a normal mundane and Alec was surrounded by people.

Being in such a busy place, Alec never though that he'd ever feel like he was being followed in such a big crowed. He entered the shop and shuffled round to find something to eat. He managed to reach the second isle before seeing him. He was stood there right in front of him, looking at mangoes. As he turned Alec dodged behind the bread rack and peered through one of its many brown holes. Magnus slowly walked over the the bread in suspicion. Alec quickly scribbled the invisibility rune onto a small patch of bare flesh and ran around Magnus. He grabbed some random food as he passed it and then left the shop un-detected.
"Hey, what are you doing?" A voice came from behind him. Alec ignored it and carried on running. He could sense that whoever it was could see him and was indeed following him. Alec managed to turn down a random alleyway without the person seeing him and waited for his chance to escape. A random boy ran past and then stopped, it must be him. Alec had thought. He did have runes after all. But Alec didn't hesitate to take the chance to escape. He bolted away from the boy and didn't look back until he reached the institute.

The shopping was away and Alec then decided that he wasn't hungry and made himself a cup of bitter,black coffee instead. He took it to his room and turned on the TV. "What do mundanes call entertaining these days?" He started, staring at the screen. "Love island. Ugh". The screen then went black as he changed the channel to netflix. He flicked through the film's and then found a series of films called Harry Potter. He began to watch it, completely bored. Once it finished he searched for the next as he enjoyed it so much, throwing the remote onto his bed when he couldn't find it. The frustration filled him so much that he gave up on shutting out the world and downed his coffee, he then headed to the training room.

Practicing his Fighting techniques was very sweaty, so Alec took off his shirt and cast it to the side. He turned back to the punching bag To carry on but got interrupted when he heard a faint squeak coming from the direction he threw his shirt. He turned back to see Clary, her face blocked by his shirt. Out of anger he tried the shirt from her face and tried to storm off. Clary could see the tension in his shoulders and then decided to follow him anyway.

"Alec," Clary called out as she knocked viscously on his door, "Alec get out here now and talk to me!"
"Go away Clary." He muttered through the door.
"Fine, but that was your only chance at getting the truth, what actually happened that night." She turned on her heels with a huff and ran out of the institute before asked could stop her. He managed to reach the due of his room as she closed the front doors to the institute, let's just say it took him a while to process the information.
