When Martin and his companions got close they spotted soldiers outside the gate leading into Feverbrook. They noticed that there were more soldiers than usual standing guard directing people in and out of the town. What were they to do? They couldn't just casually walk through like everyone else because they would surely get caught.
"Great. The way in is heavily guarded. Why do they have so many soldiers guarding the entrance?" Asked Martin.
"Those aren't regular soldiers. Those are sentinels. That means Lord Ragoul is here and he has brought his army. My guess is he is scouring the town looking for someone." Replied Adal.
"Who do you suppose he is looking for?" Asked Azura.
"Us." Both Adal and Martin said at the same time.
Azura's heart skipped a beat as she looked back towards the soldiers stationed outside the gate.
"What do we do now? How are we supposed to get inside unnoticed?" Questioned Azura.
"I am not sure. But we need to think of something fast. Solana's life depends on us getting inside." Martin said as he scanned the area. "Do you know of any secret passages that lead inside the town Adal?"
"No, I don't think there are any secret passages."
"Damn!" Martin cursed.
"Oh wait. There could be a way." Adal said, rubbing his chin as if he might of remembered something.
"Oh yeah, what is it? Do you think we can?"
"Quiet my boy, I am trying to think."
"Sorry. It's just."
"I know, me too." Adal said sympathetically. "I need a second to think, though."
"Of course." Martin replied.
Adal started mumbling to himself as he walked away. Martin and Azura waited patiently in silence as they watched Adal pace back and forth. As they were waiting for Adal to remember whatever it was he was trying to Azura began to feel a bit strange. Martin then noticed the worried look in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I don't know. Something is happening to me." She replied.
"Like what?" Martin asked now worried himself.
"I feel, I feel stronger, more alert." She said as she shook her arms and clenched her fists.
Martin was about to say something when Azura went to her knees. He quickly leaned down and grabbed her by her shoulders.
"You okay? What's happening?" He asked, concerned.
Before Azura could respond, she felt a tingling sensation in her hands. She looked down and saw symbols being drawn onto her palm out of nowhere. She then knew without a doubt what was happening. A wicked smile began to form on her face as she stood back up making Martin take a step back.
"Woah, you okay?" Martin said clearly confused.
Azura raised a fist in the air and a small ball of air began swirling around it. She then opened her hand and let the air vibrate in her palm. She stared deviously into Martins eyes before she leaned her head down and blew a kiss in his direction. The small ball of air shot towards Martin hitting him in the face, causing his eyes to water and his hair to fro.
"Well well well. It is about time my young lad. Congratulations." Adal said, smiling at Azura.
"Thank you." She said as she nodded.
