Solana and Mien were abruptly awakened by the howling sounds of the wind. What they saw and felt when they awoke was a bit disturbing. The air whipped and whistled as it cast tiny particles of debris everywhere. It caused them to shield their eyes less they wanted to possibly be blinded by dust. The fire from the fire pit danced in all directions as if it were alive, and the heat that radiated from it was almost too much to bare. They were both drenched in sweat from lying too close to the fire when it was rampaging. As they backed far enough away from the inferno dust storm where they could open their eyes without fear of being blinded, they noticed something strange.
Small funnels of air like tiny tornadoes were circled around Martin's body as they rotated from one side to the other. Although he was in the middle of them, they didn't seem to affect him at all. Not one single hair on Martin's head was disturbed. They also noticed where Martin was lying, the ground had sunken, forming itself around him. It looked as if the ground was going to swallow him whole or bury him alive.
"What is going on? We need to get him out of there!" Shouted Mien.
"Yeah, but how!" Solana pleaded. "There is no way we can even get close to him!"
Solana couldn't think of anything and out of worry, she started to yell his name.
"Martin! Martin! Wake up Martin!"
As he watched the arrow, moments from the impact, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He gritted his teeth and waited for the arrow to hit him. What is taking so long he wondered. I should be in pain, I should of felt the impact already, I should be dead. But nothing happened. Am I already dead, was I suppose to feel, it's been too long. Afraid to open his eyes in fear that it will still come Martin just waited. Then he heard a voice, a woman's voice, a familiar voice, calling his name. What is going on he wondered and then again he heard the voice calling his name. Suddenly he realized who it was that was calling him, and he opened his eyes.
He looked around, confused. He saw winds that swirled around him, blocking his view of the two strange blurred figures on the other side. He put his hand up to shield his eyes and squinted, trying to get a better look. Then instantly the winds stopped the fire that danced dramatically died down and everything went still as Martin collapsed.
Solana and Mien rushed over to him to see if he were okay. Solana reached down and grabbed his arm to help give him support. When she did, she noticed some strange symbols on his hand glowing and then slowly fade away.
"Are you okay, are you hurt?" Solana asked with a look of concern.
Looking a bit drained Martin said. "I don't think so, I just, just feel weak."
As she looked around Solana said. "I do not know what's going on, but I think you need to explain a few things."
"I am not sure on what's going on either. All I know is I am happy that what I thought was real was just a bad dream. I dreamt you both were killed and Ragnor shot a flaming arrow at me while I was covered in oil. I thought I was going to die."
"Wow, I am also happy, it was just a dream." Said Mien.
"What were those strange glowing symbols on your hand, I saw?" Asked Solana. "Who are you, or better yet, what are you?" She said as her brow darkened.
Martin watched Solana's eyes for a moment to see if they would waver, they didn't.
He sighed, "I am just learning who I am. I was not raised here but was told I was a Necron."
Solana raised an eyebrow. "What is a Necron?"
"I was told it was someone who can wield great power. I have witnessed it only once, but I do not know how to use it." Martin said a bit frustrated.
