ADALINE'S POV

Meredith and I had just left Queen Charlotte's Hospital after a visit with Ringo, Mo and baby Zak. He was the most darling little thing. There were a decent amount of paps outside. Ever since Mo had him it's been buzzing around there.

"Those bloody paps are insane! Ye could barely get through without them questioning you!" Meredith exclaimed, pulling away from the hospital.

"They never stop. I understand it's their job, but Ringo and Mo deserve some privacy."

"Ye know, when you go to deliver the same thing will probably happen."

"Bloody hell, you're right.." I groaned as I laid back, running my hand over my bump. "Sometimes this is just beyond overwhelmin'. How did my life become like this?"

"You're having Paul McCartney's baby, your life's completely changed now."

"I know..I know.."

We continued driving for a few minutes. Once we were at a red light Meredith turned to me. "Can I talk to you about something?"

"Of course. What's going on, Mere?"

"Well, you know that Mason and I have been together for a while. I'm really happy with 'im and I think I'm going to move in with him.. I'm sorry.."

I smiled lightly and nodded to her. "I'm happy for you. You and Mason deserve to be happy together."

"I was going to wait until after the baby was born, but you and Paul seem to be doing well."

"We are, and I don't want to hold you back. You've already done so much for me."

"You're not holding me back. I'll always be there for you and the baby too. I'm going to be the favourite aunt after all."

I laughed lightly and smiled. "Between you and Lily they'll have the greatest."

"They will." We arrived back at the flat as she looked at me. "I'm going to run to Mason's. I'll be back in a little while, do you need anything?"

"I'm alright. I'll possibly see you when you get back, I'm going to Paul's in a bit."

"See you later then, Addie."

PAUL'S POV

I had just finished cleaning up from lunch when I heard a knock on the door. Setting down the dishtowel I went over and opened the door to reveal a woman standing there. She looked familiar.

"I'm not sure if you really know who I am." She said to me.

"You're Addie's friend, right?" I asked, partially remembering her from my last visit.

"Yeah. Listen, we need to talk."

"Of course, come in." I said, walking over to the counter. "Would you like a cuppa?"

"No thanks, I can't stay long."

"Alright, I'm listening." I nodded, leaning on the counter.

"I don't mean to come across rude, but we need to get some things straight about you and Adaline. One, now that you've committed to this you better not try to leave and make her do this alone. You did this, you need take responsibility. Two, if you hurt her in anyway there's going to be problems. She cares about you and needs you with her right now. I know this was unexpected, but both of your lives are changing and you need to put your child first."
