ADALINE'S POV

I had been on bedrest for the last three weeks. Paul had done wonderfully with taking care of the kids and me, though I could tell it was a lot on him at times. We had gone to my Mum's for Christmas, the two of them making me sit and relax the whole time. It was wonderful to see Paul happy with family.

On Monday I have my appointment to go and see if I could be taken off bedrest. I had gone in last week for my midway appointment and my blood pressure was still a bit high, so they wanted me to rest a little bit longer. Me being on bedrest had been a bit difficult for the kids. They constantly wanted me to play with them which broke my heart that I couldn't do as much as they wanted. This resulted in Matt never wanting to leave my side. He sat with me in bed and played with his toys and napped. He's such a Mummy's boy.

Today Meredith was coming over for the day while Paul and Mike got together. The kids were going to spend the day with my Mum, but Matt didn't want to leave Mummy's side.

"Come on, little man, Grammy's goin to be here soon." Paul said to Matt in attempts to get him to let go of me.

"Stay with Mummy..."

"Mady's going too. You'll have fun."

"Mummy..." He said, burying his face in my arm.

"It's not going to work, honey. He doesn't want to leave." I rubbed Matt's back lightly.

"All he does is lay with you in bed."

"Proves how much of a Mummy's boy he is."

"Adaline..." Paul shot me a look.

"I know, I know..." I pulled Matt up and looked at him. "Mummy wants you to go with Grammy and Mady. You're going to have so much fun."

"Grammy take us to get ice cream!" Mady ran over and looked at her brother.

Soon there was a knock on the door and my mum came in. "Where's my beautiful grandchildren?"

"Grammy!!" Mady yelled and ran over to her. "I missed you."

"It's only been a day, but I miss you too." She picked up Mady and came over to us. "And I see someone's still very attached to Mum."

"Since Addie was put on bedrest he never wants to leave her side." Paul sighed.

"Matt, darling, we're going to have so much fun today. Grammy's going to make your favourite for lunch and then take you and your sister for ice cream and to get new toys." Over these last few weeks I've noticed that my mum is very good at persuading Matt to go play or do something else other than stay attached to my hip. She just had the magic tough.

"Ice cweam!" He giggled and hugged me tightly. "Bye bye Mummy!"

"Goodbye, sweetpea! You'll have so much fun today!" I smiled and then kissed Mady's forehead. "Bye, my little princess. You both be good."

"We will!"

"They always are. Now you rest, Adaline. You and the baby need your rest." My mother reminded me.

"We will..."

"Bye bye!" With that the three of them left, leaving Paul and I to wait for Mike and Meredith.

"He's going to have such a rough time when the baby comes..." Paul plopped down in the chair across from me.

"He is! Oh, my little man...Well, we got Madelynn through it, we'll get him through it too." I smiled lightly and looked over at him. "You know, we really need to start figuring out names. I know we decided on Mia if it's a girl, but we still need a middle name as well as a name in case we're right and this is our little boy."
