Ivy's P.O.V.
___________

I can't believe this is happening.

He is late for the most important day, EVER. Senior year was bad enough with him showing up late to every dinner my family invited to him, but now he was late for graduation?

James Cassidy would truly be the death of me.

It had been one year and 3 days since me and James made it official. As soon as he kissed me (for the second time) it was over. As stupid as it sounds, every kiss from that day on just kept getting better.

That didn't mean that there were no problems though. We had our fair share of problems though, like all couples did. I believe that we will have more, (knock on wood), but it would be worth it.

I smiled as i finally saw the boy in his graduation cap, walking towards the long table with his little sister and his mother and father. "James!" I smiled broadly and waved, the boy turned and flashed a smile when he saw me.

That smile never got old.

Belle ran up to me, her arms circling around my waist. It was crazy how big she was getting, she was still adorable as ever.

"Sister Ivy!" She cheered, looking up at me with her bright eyes. She had gotten into the habit of calling me sister, and i of course loved it. She even called Casey her sister occasionally.  Speaking of that beautiful girl, she walked up behind me and placed her hands on my shoulders "boo" she whispered.

I swear i swung around and put my arms up but when her blonde hair was in my view i relaxed, "i almost killed you" I said, wiping fake sweat off my forehead.

The girl rolled her eyes, "as if" she muttered with a small smile. We both chuckled before James walked over, wrapping his arms around my stomach and looking down at me from over my shoulder.

"Hi handsome" i said, gazing up at his cheeky smile. He was such a goof, but that's what made him James Cassidy.

"Hi gorgeous" he greeted before leaning down and lightly kissing me. I'm not going to be cliche here and say that i saw fireworks so let's just say i saw several explosions in the sky... if you catch my drift.

Oh wait never mind that was fireworks, shit.

Many teens cheered as they looked up at the bright lights while i chuckled at my own thoughts. It was picture perfect. Me and the boy i loved, his arms wrapped around me as everyone threw their caps in the air.

High school musical if i do say so myself.

Look at me and all of my jokes today, in fact the thought that I'm telling jokes to myself is kind of creepy. But whatever.

"Ivy it's so nice to see you" James' mother said, her face not changing as she stared at me. James grunted but i shushed him.

That was one non perfect thing, his mother. She had hated me since i started dating James. That was just something I'd have to deal with though. "Ms. Cassidy, it's so nice to see you" i said, a genuine smile forming. I shook her hand, which she didn't like.

In fact i don't think Vanessa Cassidy liked anything about me. From my hair to the way my teeth just BARELY crossed over each other... she hated it all. I didn't care, she wasn't the one i wanted to spend my life with. James Cassidy was.

James Fucking Cassidy.

James P.O.V.

She was going to kill me, i was late again and it was the most important night of my life. It was already pretty late but i knew she would still be waiting, because that was Ivy.

I walked inside of the small restaurant, looking around for the girl before spotting her at a table, her head hung rather low. That of course made me sad, because this night meant a lot to me and seeing her unhappy almost ruined it. My fault, again.

It had been a while since we had seen each other. Ivy had went off to college while i stayed in town, but recently she had informed me that she had finally gotten a job in the city. I agreed to meet her here to 'visit' but of course that wasn't why i was here. Why would i only visit the girl i love.

My mother was reluctant when i told her why i was going to see Ivy but i assured her that it wasn't a mistake. I couldn't imagine loving anyone who wasn't Ivy Senten.

I walked towards the booth and sat across from her. She looked up, immediately peeking up as her lips began to move, "Hi handsome" she said, that was always how she greeted me now. Texting, Calling, FaceTime, and now in person.

"hi gorgeous" i responded, smiling at the girl. It was true. Ivy was the definition of Beauty. Her eyes had somehow gotten even more blue and her hair was longer, pulled back in a tight ponytail while a black dress hung from her body perfectly.

She didn't bring up me being late but i knew she was wondering why i hadn't been there sooner. The truth? I had to have a meeting with a waiter in the back. She would see why.

"Did you order yet?" I asked the girl and she nodded, "just a drink". I scanned over the items, thinking i should probably get a drink too. God knew i was sweating madly over here. Who wouldn't when they were about to do something this nerve wracking.

The man walked over with two glasses of wine, "i saw you walk in and thought you'd want to" he said, smiling as if he already knew what was going to happen. Because he did. I breathed out slowly.

"I took a sip of my drink as she picked up hers, sipping the sweet flavor of the wine. I set the glass down, waving my hand for the waiter to go back to the table. Ivy looked confused as i tried to get the mans attention.

The waiter hurried over with a fake concerned expression. "This wasn't what i wanted" i told him, he nodded apologetically and Ivy face palmed. When he walked away she stared at me until i forced myself to look at her.

Don't laugh.

Don't laugh.

"Yes?"  I Asked her, my eyebrows raised as the girl looked at me, "you realize you didn't even order right? You can't say that's not what you won't" she told me.

I shrugged, "it wasn't what i wanted" i told her. She must have been severely confused at this point because she didn't know whether to be worried or angry, i could tell by the conflicting looks on her face.

"Here you are sir"the waiter said, his smile anxious as if his favorite show just released a new episode and he was about to see it. I suppressed an eye roll before grabbing the small box he held in his hand. Ivy was looking from me to the box as if saying 'is that what i think it is'.

I got out from the booth and she gasped as i put one knee on the carpet. "Ivy Senten, will you ma-" i wasn't able to speak the whole sentence before the girl started jumping out of her boot and pulling me up.

"um HELL YES" she shouted as she hugged me tightly. I smiled, hugging her back. I would never get tired of the crazy girl. And that's the reason i was marrying her.

Because every day with Ivy was going to be an adventure, from now until my last day. I was positive i would never be bored. I didn't even know half the plans that crazy girl had in store for me, but i loved her and i still do, insanely.

If i could go back, i would marry Ivy ten more times, because the girl put a smile on my face at least ten times a day.

Understatement of the year.
