chapter twenty one

Annie's POV
I woke up this morning with a horrible headache. I groaned and walked to the bathroom. I looked myself in the mirror. I had bloodshot eyes and I looked a mess.

I felt hungover. Was I drunk last night?! Oh my god. I get ready for the day. I put on sunglasses to hide my eyes and I wore a scarf. I feel like if I move to much I'll throw up.

I walk downstairs carefully. I see Hayden eating breakfast. When he looked at me he almost choked on his food. Then he started laughing till he cried.

"How drunk was I?" I sighed. He was still laughing. After he calmed down he spoke. "Um, like a lot." He giggled. He walked up to me and removed my sunglasses.

"You look fine." He smiled. "Sure I do." I grabbed the sunglasses and put them back on. "Don't you think people will question you why you're wearing sunglasses in December?" Hayden asked.

I sat down across him and out my head down. "I don't care." I said moody. "Someone's moody. What's up?" He said. "Nothing. Do we have anything on the schedule today?" I asked.

"Um, no. Why?" He said walking to the kitchen. "No reason. Just, have bad cramps." I sighed. He looked at me and titled his head. "Are you on your period?" He asked awkwardly.

I bursted out laughing. "Yes Hayden. But if you see a girl moody and having cramps, never, ever ask her that. Always buy her chocolate." I smiled proudly.

He laughed and handed me my breakfast. "Does that mean I have to go to the store?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

He laughed. "Okay, I'll be back." He grabbed the car keys and headed out. I giggled to myself and continued eating my breakfast.

"Morning sweetheart." Tisha said entering the kitchen. "Morning Tisha." "Have you seen Hayden?" She asked. "He went to go get me chocolate." I giggled. She laughed. "Did he ask you?" She smiled. I nodded.

"Well, that's his fault." Tisha said. "Do you have anything todo today?" I asked Tisha. "Well, I have a meeting, a hair appointment, then I have to go to Dylan's photoshoot and then dinner with Jimmy. So I have a full day. Why?" Tisha stated.

"Nah, just asking. So will Hayden and I be home alone all day?" I asked. "Yep. And I trust you two." Tisha said. She pulled me into a warm hug. "You've brought Hayden happiness again." She whispered in my ear before she left the kitchen.

I just sat there thinking about what she said. It made me smile. I walk over to the couch and wait for Hayden to come back.

Omg I totally forgot.

My birthday is in two days! I grabbed the home phone and dialed my moms number. She picked up in less than three rings.

katie- hello?
annie- mom! hey!
katie- annie! how have you been?
annie- amazing! how about you?
katie- you wouldn't believe it! the whole city basically knows my baby girl is hitting the the big stage. we're all so proud of you.
annie- can i talk to caleb?
katie- sure!

I heard the door open and turn around. Hayden was standing there with a bag in his hand. He saw that I was on the phone.

caleb- hey superstar! how's toronro treating ya?
annie- amazing! i miss you guys so much
caleb- us too. also bummed out we'll be missing out on your birthday
caleb- hey, you're happy right? thats all that matters.
annie- i guess your right. ive got to go. bye love you
caleb- love you too

I end the phone call and turn my attention to Hayden who had a oddly weird sad facial expression. "You have a boyfriend?" He asked me. I started laughing.

"Me? Seriously? No that wasn't my boyfriend. It was my older brother." I said. He nodded and looked relieved. Hayden passed me the bag. "It's whatever I found." He smiled.

I opened the bag and there was a lot of chocolate! I squealed and tackled Hayden into a hug. I think I took him by surprise because I was on top of him.

We just stared into each others eyes. His greenish eyes sent a chill down my spine. Hayden took his hand and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

That beautiful moment was soon ruined by: "Hayden! Come up here!" Hunter yelled from upstairs. I got off Hayden and he walked upstairs.

I was replaying that moment in my head over and over again. I couldn't stop smiling. I walked up to my room with the chocolate. I ate a few pieces before Hayden barged into my room.

"There you are!" He smiled. He sat down next to me and ate one of my chocolate pieces. "Rule number two when a girl is on her period. Never. Ever. Take her chocolate." I said.

"Oops." He smiled. I just laughed.

Hayden's POV
When Hunter called me into his room, I was annoyed. I was just about to kiss Annie. But no, he just HAD to ruin the moment. I walked into his room and he was smirking.

"What's up, what did you need." I said with a rather obvious annoyed tone. "Are you annoyed cause I ruined your little moment with Annie?" He smirked.

"What? How did you know?" I said in shock. "I saw you two from the top of the stairs." He said. I felt myself blushing. "You like her." He said.

"No I don't." I said lying to his face. "Yes, you do. It's written all over your face Hayden. It's okay. I won't tell." He smiled. I smiled back. "Now, go get your girl." He said. "Hunter!" I laughed.

I walked downstairs and she wasn't there anymore. I went to her room and she was there, looking beautiful as always.

She's a true angel.
