Hayden's Pov
I woke up this morning with my alarm clock ringing in my ears. I groan and slam it to shut up. I yawned as I sat up. I looked at the time, 9:04 am.

I was wearing sweatpants and no shirt. Yeah, I know, it's winter but that's just how I sleep. I slip on my slides and get ready for the day.

I jog down the stairs and smell oatmeal. "Morning kiddo." My dad said, messing up my perfectly curled hair.

"Hey dad." I said. I walked over to the breakfast table where my three older brothers sat. "Hey Hayden! Ready for the duet?" Dylan smirked.

I laughed. "Yeah sure. I think you should be asking Kenzie." I laughed. My dad and brothers never really liked Kenzie that much. Dad always thought she was a bad influence on me.

My brothers just don't really like her. Sometimes I love her and other times she gets a little clingy. "Alright boys, eat up and then I'm taking you too the recording studio." My dad said walking over to us.

I finished my breakfast and grabbed a jacket. I sat on the couch on my phone waiting for everyone else to finish breakfast.

Annie's pov

"Annie you're crazy!" Caleb exclaimed. "Caleb! Mom already agreed to let me go to Toronto why can't you!" I shouted.

"Because! Where are you going stay, how are going to get money, how are-" "CALEB!" I shouted. He looked at me, with a look he never had before.

He angrily left my room. I shut the door and slid down to the floor. I pulled my knees up to my chest and silently cried.

Maybe Caleb was right. I shouldn't go. What chance do I have? I was crazy for even thinking of it.

There was a soft knock on my door. I stand up and wipe the tears off my cheek. I crack the door open with my mom standing there.

I opened the door fully and let her in. "Ignore Caleb sweetheart. You should follow your dreams. Here, sit. I'm going to tell you a story." My mom said, in a soft, sweet voice.

I sat down on my bed. "When I was around your age, I also had a passion. I had a passion for gymnastics. I grew up in a poor family. But I had a dream, to go to the olympics and win a gold medal. When I told my dad, he told me it was impossible and I could never make it there. He discouraged me in everything I did. And I gave up. I'm letting you go because I don't want to make the same mistake my father made."

It took my a minute to process all that in. "I won't let you down mom." I said. She smiled and pulled me into a warming hug. "That's my girl."
