Annie's Pov
I was getting ready for the day, I was up pretty early so I decided to take a morning walk. I wrote a quick note to my mom and headed out.

It wasn't snowing, but it was freezing! I shivered as the cold, winter air bit my skin. I walked along the sidewalk passing by strangers.

The town christmas tree, shining with its sparkling lights. Holiday lights making the town magical. It was just a winter wonderland.

I walked into a small bakery with a relief of warm air, thawing my frozen body. I wait in line to get something. I did have some money on me.

"Hey, what can I get you?" The lady smiled. "One medium coffee please." I said. "Okay, name?" She asked, grabbing a pen. "Annie." I smiled. She wrote it down and asked for the wanted amount.

I gave her the money and sat down. A boy came by passing each costumer a flyer. Once he handed it to me, I took a close look.

Ever had a passion of singing? Wanted to join the big starts on stage? It's your lucky day! Meet Johnny Orlando, Mackenzie Ziegler and Hayden Summerall at Toronto auditorium December 4th and audition to sing a duet with Hayden!

I smiled and folded the paper and placed it in my pocket. After the lady called my name, I grabbed my coffee and ran back home, trying not to spill my coffee.

I unlocked our house door to see my mom sitting at our small table. "Morning Annie." My mom smiled. "Mom! I need to show you something!" I squealed, walking up to her.

She gave me questionable look. I grabbed the paper out of my pocket and unfolded it. I passed it to her. She read it with serious face.

I had a nervous mind set. Who am I kidding! She'll never let me go all the way to Canada just to audition with my horrible singing. Yes I do enjoy singing, but I don't like my voice.

Mackenzie Ziegler has always been one of my idols. I look up to her. "Julianna," My mom started. "Canada? To sing? I didn't even know you liked to sing. And there will a million other girls auditioning." My mom said, placing down the paper.

I sat down in front of her. "Mom, I've never wanted anything more. I've never asked you for anything. Just please, this one time. And yes I know, it's in Canada and I've been saving up money. This can help us mom." I said.

That's all I could get out. My mom looked at me for a good minute or two. She placed her hand on top of mine.

"Make me proud." She said. I smiled and gave her a big hug. "I promise I won't let you down." I whispered.
