chapter thirty six

it was three hours before the concert, and let me tell you, a lot can happen in one day. it feels as if hayden drifted away from me. but, it could just be my thoughts.

johnny and i have definitely gotten closer. i think he likes me, but once again, it could just be my thoughts.

"nervous?" someone asked. i turned around. it was kenzie. "oh, uh a little. yeah." i stuttered. she's the last person i wanted to talk to. "well, in your dressing room there's a note from hayden. read it after the show." she said.

i nodded and walked away. "annie!" another voice called out. it was hayden. "hey hayden." i smiled. "um, mr.banks is here." he said. i looked at him wide eyed.

"no no no. hayden i'm scared." i said. "hey, i'll make sure he stays away." he said resting his hands on my shoulders. i took a deep breath and nodded. why banks?

"hayden, sound check!" dylan yelled. "okay, i've got to go, but don't worry anns." he said. he walked away.

i smiled to myself and turned around. and there stood the monster himself. "oh, uh.. h-hi mr.banks." i said. "hello annie. why so nervous?" he said with a evil smirk.

"first performance. i've got to go." i said rushing past him. i walked to my dressing room and locked the door. i starred at myself in the mirror. i saw a letter on the vanity.

kenzie said to open it after the show. whatever, she's working for ruby anyway. i take the letter and rip it open.

i didn't even have to read a letter. it was a scam. it wasn't hayden's handwriting. does she really think i'm that stupid?

i rip and throw away the letter. i don't even need to read it. a heard a knock on the door. i opened it to find johnny. "hey, it's time to go on stage. ready?" he asked. i took a deep breath.

"yep." i smiled. he smiled back and we headed to where mr.jimmy was. "alright annie, you and hayden are going to sing the duet, then your original. ready?" he asked.

i nodded. "alright, put your hands together for hayden summerall and annie leblanc!" kenzie said on stage. as we walked on, kenzie walked off.

after hayden and i finished, we gave each other a quick hug on stage and walked off. "annie you did amazing!" hayden smiled. "thanks." i smiled back. "great job anns!" johnny said giving me a hug. i returned the hug.

"great job guys! you all did incredible." dylan said coming over to us. "but, we have something to expose." john growled. "kenzie do you want to say it or should i?" he said facing kenzie.

kenzie started getting tensed. "um, i-" "kenzie stop stalling!" johnny yelled. "what do you mean?" she asked as if nothing happened. "don't play dumb mackenzie." hayden said in pure annoyance.

brec and banks soon walked over too. "fine! you want the truth? i love hayden! and when annie came along she took him right out of my hands! now i'm working with ruby to ruin they're relationship." she said.

"mackenzie frances ziegler. you are no longer apart of this tour, or my industry. leave!" mr.jimmy said. she all shot us a dirty look and marched out.

we all looked at each other and shouted in joy. "finally!" brec said. we all looked at her. "what? she gave me weird vibes." she shrugged we all laughed.

"does that mean we're back together?" hayden asked, slithering his arm around my waist. "back together?" banks questioned. we all looked at him. "oh, right. me and annie are dating." hayden said.

he nodded, looking rather mad. he walked away. "today had been a long night. let's go sleep." dylan yawned. everyone walked out besides me and hayden.

he lead me into a empty room. "you know what i missed most about us?" he asked, getting closer to me. which lead me to being pinned against the wall.

"what?" i asked. "this." he rested his lips on mine. both of us smiling. he moved his hands to my waist and i moved mine around his neck.

i was bout to pull away when he lightly bit my bottom lip. "i'm not done just yet." he whispered into my ear. he continued kissing me.

it got a little intense. he moved his hands to my butt. i moaned in pleasure. he laughed. he moved down my neck.

"okay, enough for tonight." i laughed pushing him off me. "you didn't leave me anything, did you?" i asked feeling around my neck. he shook his head.

we both walked out of the room and back into the tour bus. everyone was gathered around in a circle. "right on time! we were just about to play werewolf." johnny said.

we joined them.

things are starting to fall back in place.
