chapter twenty eight

tonight the summeralls were planning to have a movie night. i was also meeting dylan's girlfriend. her names brec from what i've heard.

"annie dear can you help me with the food." tisha said calling me from the kitchen. i walked into the kitchen and saw tisha popping microwaveable popcorn.

"can you make eight cups of hot coco?" she asked. "of course." as i was making the hot coco, tisha randomly asked me, "do you love hayden? wait, that came out funny." she said.

i giggled. "well, i've only known him for a month. and love is a strong word. but, he's the perfect guy for me." i said. "good answer dear." tisha smiled.

after i was finished with the hot cocos, i walked out of the kitchen and saw hayden playing video games with his brothers. i smiled. it's adorable the relationship he has with his brothers.

i decided not to interrupt them and walk back into the kitchen. mr.jimmy was their. "oh, hey mr.jimmy!" i smiled. "hey annie. how've you been?" he asked. "amazing." i smiled.

"you're like the daughter i've never had. thank you for being their for hayden." he smiled. i smiled and randomly gave him a hug. he hugged back. "and you're like the dad i never had." i smiled.

i pulled away from the hug. "so annie i-" before tisha could finish her sentence, a strong pair of arms wrapped around my waist and lifted me up. "hayden! put me down!" i laughed.

"now, why would i do that?" he said into my neck. he ran with me over to the living room where his brothers were and another girl who i'm assuming is dylan's girlfriend.

hayden put me down. "annie, meet brec, dylan's girlfriend." hunter introduced. "hi! i'm brec. i love your ombré hair!" she smiled. "thank you!" i smiled back.

brec and i talked a bit while the boys were playing video games. brec is such a sweet person and the type to ask advice from.

after our small talk, i got up and laid on hayden's chest. he wrapped his arms around me while playing his video games. "you are so adorable." i said. he smiled down at me and kissed my head before refocusing his attention to the tv.

"alright kids movie time!" mr.jimmy said walking in with the popcorn. tisha followed behind with a tray of hot coco.

hayden grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around us. we sat on the floor along with brec and dylan. "alright, you kids picked out a holiday movie yet?" tisha asked sitting down next to mr.jimmy.

"how about elf?" hunter suggested. we all agree and turn on elf. the summeralls are so kind. it's almost impossible.

i was slouched down, cuddling hayden. he had his arms wrapped around me, making me feel warm and safe. i think i do love him.

half way through the movie, haydens phone repeatedly kept buzzing. "ugh. one sec babe." hayden whispered to me. i got off him and he walked to the kitchen.

"guys!" hayden said rushing in not even a second later of leaving. "some stupid news reporter made a huge deal out of mine and annie's relationship." he said rolling his eyes.

hayden gave his phone to mr.jimmy. "i'll hold a press tomorrow. for now, enjoy yourselves." mr.jimmy smiled. hayden tossed his phone and sat down next to me.

i was honestly scared. did i do something wrong? hayden smiled and pushed a loose hair strand behind my ear. "don't worry, you'll get use to stuff like this." hayden smiled. he kissed my head and i rested my head on his chest.

no matter how hard i tried, the situation wont get out of my head.

eh, not as much drama
but this chapter was really cute
btw many of you were asking me if i know what "netflix and chill" means.
yes i know it means something else but i meant it literally where you watch netflix and be lazy.
also, i feel like this was a good quality chapter.
