Annie's POV
It was the same day. Hayden and I were chilling in his room watching a movie on his laptop. I was being pretty bummed out all day since I couldn't spend my birthday with my family.I think Hayden noticed because he paused the movie. "Okay, you've been acting weird. Whats up." Hayden said looking at me. "Well, my birthday is in two days and I don't get to spend it with my family." I sighed.
Hayden sat up. "Your birthday is in two days?!" He shouted. I nodded. He just sat there, thing for awhile before a smile appeared on his face.
Hayden's POV
I'm going to make this Annie's best birthday party yet! I'm going to throw her a surprise party. Masquerade themed. I'm even going to pay for her family's flight here!Today is also the day I'll ask her out.
Annie's POV
"Well, since we have a free day, what do you wanna do?" I asked. "Well, I have a surprise for you." He smiled."Really? What's that?" I asked, controlling my excitement. "It's a surprise silly." Hayden said slightly smacking my head.
I playfully pouted. "Go get dressed. Nothing to fancy." Hayden said smiling. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to my room.
Hayden's POV
I'm going to take Annie all around town, having fun then ask her out when the timing is right. Over the weeks living with Annie, I've learned that she's very simple. And for her surprise masquerade party, I'm planning on getting her a phone. The poor princess needs a phone.
I get out of bed and get dressed. I walk out and wait outside of Annie's room. I knock the door and hear a "Come in!" From Annie.
I walk in and see her doing her makeup. I took the brush out of her hand. "Hey! I need that." She said trying to take it out of my hand.
I laughed. "No, you don't. You look beautiful without it." I smiled. Then I just realized what I said. She blushed which caused me to do the same.
"But Hayden, I need it!" She whined. "You have natural beauty. Trust me." I said. She sighed and walked to the bathroom. She washed all the makeup off her face and looked at me. "Better?" She said with a hand on her hip
I laughed and nodded. We grabbed our coats and walked out. There was light snowfall which lightened the mood. We got in my car and arrived at city walk.
"What are we doing here?" Annie asked as I pulled up in a parking space. "Well, you'll see."
We got out of the car and I took Annie's hand. She smiled and so did I. God, that girls smile is so contagious.
We walked around, being silly and not caring. I ran into some fans and took pictures with them. "Hayden, look." Annie said, pointing to a restaurant.
The sign read 'all couples get a free chocolate cake, come on in!' I looked at Annie and smirked. "You will do anything for food." I laughed. She giggled and nodded.
We walked in and were greeted by a waitress. "How can we help you on this fine evening?" She smiled. "Well," I said putting an arm around Annie.
"My girlfriend and I happen to have our one year anniversary today." I smiled. I could tell Annie was trying to keep in her laughter.
"Ah, right this way." She said leading us to a table. It was really nice, it had a candle in the middle. We sat down and the waitress left. Annie let out her laughter and pretend to wipe a fake tear.
"You're so cute." I said smiling. She smiled back. "So, any hints for the surprise?" Annie said wiggling her eyebrows.
"Nope." I said bopping her nose. We were really acting like a couple. We continued talking until we got our free cake. We ate and left the restaurant.
As we were walking, there was a little bit of frosting on Annie's lip. I placed my hand on her cheek and wiped away the frosting. "Thanks." She mumbled loud enough for me to hear. I smiled.
We walked and walked until we found a bench, in front of fairy lights. There were snowflakes in our hair. I grabbed Annie's hands and she looked confused.
"Annie, ever since we met at the auditorium, I felt a connection between us. Over the past few weeks we've grown together. I know, it's to soon but I've really felt something between us. More then sparks. It's like, we were made for each other. So, I hoping of you would like to be my girlfriend." I said. I lightly bit my lip, in the fear she would say no.
"Yes! A million times yes!" I picked her up and spun her around in circles. She was giggling. When I placed her down her hands were still wrapped around my neck and mine were wrapped around her waist.
We both leaned in, for a kiss, but no. No kiss.
"Oh my god is that Hayden Summerall kissing Annie LeBlanc? The new addition to the music industry? This is DEFINITELY going down in the news." A man said. He was probably a news reporter.
He just interrupted our kiss. "Yeah, so? Let the world know she's my girlfriend." I smiled. The reporter shrugged and walked away. I looked back at Annie.
"Hayden, that could put your reputation on the line." Annie said worried. "You're way more important."
"Now, where were we." I said smiling. I leaned in again and kissed her. Her soft plush lips, moving in sync with mine. Only pulling each other closer into the kiss. After a good ten seconds, we pulled away,
"Was that a special first kiss?" I asked her. "More then special." She smiled. I smiled and kissed her head.
I can finally call her mine.
