chapter eleven

Hayden's POV
I can't believe I just lied. Sure, everyone lies but I only tell white lies. I told Annie that I was going on a date with Kenzie, while I'm really gonna go meet up with John.

I don't know why I would lie about that. I grabbed my jacket and slipped on my shoes. I walked out and took my skateboard.

It wasn't snowing on the sidewalks since the snow was caught by the roofs of buildings. I finally got to Johnny's house and knocked on the door.

His sister, Lauren, opened the door and let me in. "How have you been Hayden? Haven't talked to you for awhile." She giggled closing the door. "Well, I've been busy." I sighed.

We talked a little when I ran up to Johnny's room. I opened the door to see him on his phone, laying on his bed. "I was just about to text you." He said.

"Sorry, I got caught up in stuff. What did you need to talk to me about anyway?" I asked, sitting down in his bean bag chair.

He started to tense up a bit. I was super confused. He said up and messed around with his fingers. "Um, I kind of did something I regret. I'm so so sorry Hayden." Johnny croaked.

"What did you do?" I asked confused. What could he possibly do that can make me so mad, that he's nervous about.

He mumbled something under his breathe. "Ikissedkenzie" He said. He said it so fast, but I heard it. "You WHAT?!" I said standing up.

"I'm sorry! We were just hanging out and then something came over me and I kissed her. I'm so sorry Hayden." Johnny said.

"Did she kiss back?!" I asked pretty pissed. I'm not going to loose it on Johnny. He's my best friend. He slowly nodded his head in guilt.

I barged out of him room and directly rode my skateboard to Kenzie's. I knocked, well, more like banged the door. Mrs.Ziegler opened the door.

She could clearly see that I was mad. I just walked up the stairs and opened her door. She was laying on the bed on her phone.

"Um, I'm gonna have to call you later Maddie." Then she ended the call. "Hey babe what's up?" Kenzie said sitting up.

"What's up? WHATS UP?! YOU FREAKING KISSED JOHNNY THATS WHATS UP!" I yelled so all of New Jersey could hear.

She looked at me in the same guilt Johnny had. "I- He-" "Save it, We're done." I said. She stared to tear up. "But Hay..." She said loud enough for me to hear.

"No Kenzie, we. are. done. Don't try getting back with me. Go date Johnny, I don't care." I barged out of her room and went home.

I am so done with everything! I lost so much trust today. I walked up and into my room. Without thinking, I kicked the wall out of frustration. I totally forgot Annies room was next to mine.

She came into my room. She was wearing spandex shorts and a tee with her hair tied up. "Are you okay?" She asked. I sat on my bed and put my head down.

"No, not really." I said. She sat down next to me. "Wanna tell me what's wrong? It'll help to get it off your chest." She said. I sighed. Why not.

"My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend. It really sucks." I said, trying my best to stay strong. She unexpectedly rubbed my back. I didn't mind it. I really needed some comforting.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I can't relate, but, that sucks. You can talk to me whenever." She said. I looked up at her and smiled. "Thanks." I replied. She nodded and left.

She's something different.
