I walked to class just wanting the day to be over with. I sat in the front not caring what people thought. Nobody seems to remember the point of school anymore. Dad was always proud of me for my straight As; I wouldn't jeopardize that for the world. I took a breath and put my head down. I felt my body relax as I felt paper in my hand. Shelly's number. Why would she even give it to me? I mean wasn't she always trying to get rid of me? She would always bring everyone to the table Blaine and I were occupying. Speaking of Blaine, I heard the seat beside me screech as she took her seat. I put my head up to look at her. Oddly enough, it felt like I haven't seen her in a while. I guess with all my thoughts, it seems like things are just zooming by.

"Hey." She whispered.

"Hey Blaine." I turned my face away as I felt my face heat up. She just looked so beautiful; she knows I'm in love with someone. What would she think if I told her it was her? I could feel my ears burning at this. Telling Blaine that..I loved her. A minute or two later, she slid a piece of paper on my desk. I'm sorry, it read. I released Shelly's number in my backpack while answering Blaine.

"I'm sorry too." She gave me half a smile.

"Things have just been different around here, huh?" I had to agree with her.

"Way different. For example, I'm not used to not getting pushed into lockers yet." Isn't that the truth.

"Yeah, and now your weekends are booked; Kevin says you guys have been hitting the gym." I muttered some words about Kevin at that. We were only supposed to be working out on weekdays; I can't believe I forgot about that!

"Hey Alan?" We heard screeching as our bell work was being written on the board. Blaine hesitated before she spoke her mind. "Is.. Is she pretty?"

"Blaine..if this is about a non-existent girlfriend-" I dropped my pencil and looked at her in exasperation. I didn't want to argue with her anymore.

"The girl you're in lo-, have strong feelings for," she kept her gaze on the board, "Is she pretty?"

My eyes widened as I stared at her, I quickly dropped my gaze as I started rubbing my arm releasing my embarrassment.

"She's gorgeous," I choked out.

"Cool." Her emotionless state was something I really envied at the moment. I blushed as I grabbed my pencil and did the bell work.

"Yeah- I mean," deepening my already deepened voice, I uttered out a 'cool' and mentally hanged myself.

I guess some things never change..

We were allowed to go outside for lunch today considering there was a food fight during the middle school lunch period. It seemed like a great idea because that meant Blaine and I could eat lunch together anywhere without there being tables to divide everyone. We just had to stay in the school's grounds so we went on our way to grab our lunches before we decided on a spot. It was awesome to have Blaine here with me, but I just wish she would drop the current topic.

"I have to assume that she goes here, right? Am I wrong?" Ughhh... I seriously wanted to knock my head into a wall many times!

"Blaine-"

"Do I get to meet her?" Why does she keep asking questions?? It looks like she doesn't want to talk about it and it clearly shows that it's getting me beyond nervous yet she won't drop it. I mean.. what do I say? She wants to meet the girl? That I love? Yeah I don't think asking her if she has a mirror will help anything. Umm.. I guess I can answer it-sort of.

"Well, I mean you already know who it is, well of course you know who it is because it would be weird if you didn't, and you do, and..I guess yeah."

"O-kay." She looked upset; I wished she would just drop the subject.

"Hey Alan!" I heard a familiar voice say my name, so I turned my attention away from Blaine. I looked behind me to see Charlie Scott and her best friend Lily Myers. Lily was always the quiet one of the two so I turned to Charlie. They were a grade below me and Blaine. Charlie was a brunette who was the type of person to always leave you smiling. Lily was more of the bookworm type who was behind a pair of glasses and blond hair. These two were always together balancing each other's personalities out.

"Hey you two. What's up?" I sent them both a smile. Charlie sent us a smile as she answered.

"Not much! Thank God for this beautiful weather today. My little bro sure knew when to start a food fight." She chuckled.

"Jeremy did this? No way?" Blaine questioned looking amused.

"He always kept to himself though." I said wondering what caused this.

"Yeah he was the one to throw the food-fight, he says he was just trying to impress this girl he liked." Lily said with a shrug. Charlie started to nudge Lily while looking at me.

"Young love, eh?" Charlie said sending Lily a wink. Lily's face turned red.

"Yeah well- we gotta go but nice seeing you." Lily told me with a smile and red faced.

"Okay you two, try not to get in too much trouble!" They both gave me an amused face and went on to find their other friends.

"Young love, eh?" Blaine said echoing Charlie's words. "It seems like Lily has a crush." I nodded while grabbing my lunch, happy that the attention was off me. "Lily is a cute girl." I nodded again grabbing silverware. "Lily likes you." I keep on nodding losing thought of what she said. After making sure I have what I need, I turn to Blaine.

"Ready to go?" She rolled her eyes at me and started walking toward the exit with me following. "Blaine, if you see Kevin or Jesse, hide me. They are going to try to drag me to wherever they are."

"Just stay behind me, you're small enough to be hidden." I gave her an amused look.

"Maybe you could get your pom-poms and use them to cover me even more." She started laughing and grabbed my hand and led me on the bleachers. We sat pretty high up. For the rest of the lunch period, Blaine and I were just laughing and enjoying each other's presence. She told me she thinks we should hang out during the weekend. And for once in a long time, there was no talk of the nerd project or my secret girl; it was just me and Blaine, and for that I was happy.

There was also no dealing with Kevin and Jesse's teasing, so that's a plus.
