Blaine's POV:

The bell was about to ring, so I hurried and grabbed my books before I went to my next class. Usually I'm not so late since Alan's eager to get there.. I sighed and sat into my seat. I wanted to listen to the teacher since I enjoyed learning too, but I couldn't help but to occasionally glimpse at Alan's empty seat beside me. I pulled out my phone and saw no messages from him or my family. I got other texts, but I ignored them for now.

This was all my fault. I quickly rubbed a tear away before anyone saw them. It's okay Blaine, he'll be okay. I just had to hold in the tears for now. Come on Blaine, you just saw him yesterday.

Yeah but he cried himself to sleep in your arms..

Ugh, I suck. I raised my hand to be excused to the restroom. Thankfully, the teacher let me go. I grabbed my bag and went out of the class without looking at anyone else.

More tears were falling out before I made it to the restroom, but I was able to pass without seeing anyone. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and saw I was wearing a frown. The make-up only increased the mess.

I went in one of the stalls, leaning against the stall door. Alan was okay Blaine, crying won't help anything. I'm just scared. I feel like he's slipping through my fingers. And that stupid, stupid Lily. I didn't even notice I was crying badly. But how could she do that? Was I supposed to let him choose between Lily and me? Give him his options? Is that the right thing to do?

But she kissed him right in front of me! I wiped my tears. I shook my head, feeling both angry and upset. I almost lost Alan. The thought alone broke my heart. What right did Lily have to do that?

This whole thing sucks. The worst part is that he's hurting so bad.

But he's okay now. He and I can get through this together. Just like all the other times. I left the stall and faced the mirror. I grabbed a makeup remover wipe from my bag and cleaned my face. Then I washed my face with cool water. It helped me relax.

I put on a little make-up.

Okay now I just have to think of a way to help Alan feel better.

But first I have to get back to class, and that is what I did. It was hard to concentrate but I managed to stay focused when I thought of Alan wanting me to explain the lessons when I give him his work. He's the only guy I know who wants someone to bring him the work he missed. Jasper used to hate me when I would bring him missing assignments, which explained why I would do so. It was a sister's job. I chuckled at that thought and shook my head.

During lunch, I mindlessly grabbed a salad and hit it with my fork.

"You have to eat." I heard a voice say, and I looked up to see Shelly. I shrugged.

"I know." I told her. More like telling myself but it was no use. I took some bites and realized what people meant when they said salads being tasteless. But salads usually taste good. Ugh I'm just missing Alan like crazy, is that so wrong?

"He's tough Blaine, come on." Shelly told me, and I just sighed. She looked ticked off at my behavior, but I didn't care. I saw Lily at the corner of my eye and told myself to not make a scene.

"Why didn't you invite her to the table?" I asked Shelly tilting my head at Lily's direction. Shelly looked to see her then shrugged at me.

"I realized it was pointless." Shelly said to me. "Honestly, she told me she would do something for me if I brought her to the table, so I took the chance." She said looking at Jesse. He was talking to some of the other football players in the lunch line.

"What could Lily do for you?" I said looking at Jesse too, letting Shelly know I caught her staring at him.

"Put a good word for me." She muttered, looking away.

"With Jesse?" I asked, making sure she meant him. Shelly gave me this 'duh' look. "She's not even close with Alan anymore, there's no way Jesse will listen to her now." I said, almost feeling bad for Shelly, but I mean she did support someone going after my boyfriend..

"There's no way she would've got with Alan." Shelly said with a scoff. "But it got me and Jesse talking again, so that worked out." She must've noticed my frown because she continued, "Now you got Lily off your back; there's no way Alan is letting her get near you two now."

"Alan." I sulked, putting my head down. Shelly shook her head at me.

"How is Alan doing?" Kate, a fellow cheerleader, asked me. I put my head up and faked a smile.

"He's doing okay." I answered.

"It is Alan, I'm sure he'll hurry to get better for Blaine's sake." Another cheerleader, Megan said giggling. The rest of the girls joined in. This got me to smile a little.

"Hey Blaine." I heard Kevin say. He and Jesse came to sit down next to us. A few of the jocks (as Alan likes to call them) came too as usual. I saw some sympathetic looks, and I gave them a small smile. "Did you get Alan's text?" Kevin continued. I turned to him.

"What?" I asked him while opening my bag and finding my phone.

"He sent us all a group text." Kevin explained. I saw I got two texts for him and eagerly opened them. My heart was beating quick as it loaded. A smile grew on my face.

Alan<3

Hey guys! Tests went well; I'm leaving the hospital in an half hour. :P

Yes I even aced the hospital tests. :)

"What do you think of that idea Blaine?" I snapped out of my bliss-like state and turned to Megan. "About Shelly's idea?" Megan clarified as she repeated it to me, and I had to admit I was a little surprised that Shelly came up with it but it made me feel touched.

"I think that's great." I said. I kept my smile on, feeling happier than I did in days. Feeling chirpy, I got more engaged in the conversations. "Jesse, you excited about this upcoming game?" I asked. A smile grew on his face.

"Of course. We're gonna take Frocks High down!" He cheered, getting agreements and shouts from the other players and surrounding fans.

"We got a new cheer coming up." Megan said excitedly.

"Yeah, Shelly got great ideas." I said trying to boost her way into the conversation for making me feel better. "Right?" I said to her.

"Yeah, of course." She said smiling at me before looking at Jesse. "It's what team captains are for. Right Jesse?" He looked at her with a blank look.

"Right." He agreed. "By the way Team Captain," He said still addressing Shelly but looking away now, "Aren't you going to invite your friend?" He said as we all followed his gaze to see Lily. Shelly shrugged.

"I wouldn't call her my friend." Shelly said. Jesse scoffed. I turned my attention away from them and looked to see Kevin was eating his lunch quietly. He would turn his attention to Charlie every once in a while, but she was eating lunch with her other friends today.

Lily must've just grabbed her lunch and left the cafeteria because I didn't see her. I heard that Jesse spoke to her earlier. Just ouch.

I looked down to see my phone was still in my hands. I didn't even reply to Alan yet. I reread his messages before I happily replied.

Blaine (me): Cant wait to see u xx

I kept my phone next to my tray while I started eating my food. I saw I got a text a few seconds later. My smile reflected on the phone screen before I checked his message.

Alan: Hurry back to me and bring homework :)

I shook my head and started laughing.

Blaine (me): Haha okay:)

Now I have to stay extra focused in class for the both of us. Hopefully I don't go off drawing hearts on my notes or his missed homework, I thought with a giggle. Yeah, that would just be embarrassing..
