Layla’s P.O.V

I love to catch him staring at me. Like I just did. Even though he might not be thinking about me, or a million other things might have been running on his mind, but I’m glad he’s eyes chose me to rest on. We decided to go clothes shopping after school tomorrow after school and I’m excited.

My alarm clock blasted and I threw my hand over it, to stop the sound. I groaned and stayed in the bed for a few more minutes. I knew I had to get up, so I dragged myself out of bed after staring at the huge purple digital numbers on my alarm clock. I showered for 20 minutes. The water started to turn cold, so I wrapped myself in my floral towel, and stepped out of the shower. I picked out dark skinny jeans, a gray tank top and black converse shoes. I dried my hair, and curled it a little towards the bottom so it looked like beach waves. I grabbed my make up bag and walked into the bathroom again. I applied some mascara and plain lip stick, to give my lips a little shine. I grabbed my cell phone and it revealed a text message from Jeff.

*I’ll be late to school, I’ll be walking and I’ll meet you during lunch. And then at the lockers after school. EXCITED :* J *

It read. I smiled at his use of the kissy face. I grabbed my school bag and binder and ran down the stairs. I’ve got another hour for school. I placed my bag on the chair, and walked into the kitchen. The familiar scent of chocolate banana pancakes filled my nostrils. My mom was at the counter, placing a fresh batch of pancakes on a plate and sliding over to me, with a warm smell.

“Good morning, mom” I said and pulled a chair to sit. She returned my greeting and sat opposite me, sipping her sweet tea. “Mom, I’ll be going shopping for clothes for the dance after school with Jeff and I’ll be back after dinner” I said while filling my glass with milk. “Sure, and I’ll be out of town today. I’ll wait until you arrive so I can give you the keys. I’ll be back by tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll give you a little money for food for tomorrow,” she said. I nodded, not wanting to ask her why she’ll be out of town today. I cleaned my plate, and drank a glass of water before planting a kiss on my mother’s cheek and waving good bye to her. I slid behind the wheel, and drove to school. In fifteen minutes I pulled into the parking lot, finding for the spot nearest to the entrance. I found it, and walked into school.

I stopped at my locker to keep my bag. I took my library card from my purse and walked to the library. “Look who’s here! Jeff’s little princess. Didn’t he lay you down and make you moan last night? Or did you find someone else?” a heard a voice saying behind me. Here we go again. I pretended not to hear anything I heard, but I knew I did. I continued. I heard feet stomping behind me and before I could walk faster a hand grabbed me harshly by my hand and turned me around. Alan. Beside him was Delia, I think. Her choice of clothes for school was atrocious. Where did the principal go when there is a girl wearing a tight tube top and incredibly mini shorts and net covering the rest of her body in school? “Where is he? Waiting for you in the bathroom so he can lay you down, in school?” he said. I tried walking away, because I was already on the verge of tears. He pulled me back and slammed me on the lockers with a loud thump. He brought his face closer to mine, and I tried to do move away from his firm grip. I would have screamed for Jeff, but he said he’ll be late. I could have slapped Alan and run away. But that would make him hunt me down and either kill me or assault me. I was figuring out what to do, but Alan was on the floor. Did I beat him? I scanned my fists that were trembling. Jeff held me closer to him. Oh, Jeff. I was stupid to think that I might have punched Alan. How stupid. Alan held his jaw as he watched Jeff take me away. Jeff didn’t say a word until we reached the library. “You okay?” he asked. I nodded and thanked him. He smiled and kissed my forehead. I thought for a moment what Alan said but I pushed it to the back of my mind where it’ll never be found. The bell would ring in a few minutes, so I decided to return to my lockers. “Uhm, Lay. I can’t come for lunch today. Mr Darcy called me, so I have to go. I’ll meet you at your locker after school, okay?” he said.

“Uh, okay. I’ll be in the library then. And yeah the locker,” I said, smiling at him. I kissed him on the cheek and ran off to my class.

 Hello Everyone!! Sorryyyy, I couldn't upload before. I was really busy, and I'm also sorryyy, that i can't give an upload schedule. I'll try to do a double update tomorrow, but I promise to upload more frequently staring next week because I'll be having my semester break, and I'm excited.
