“Phew! She scared me! With all the texts and calls for a moment I thought she had burnt her house down,” I told Akshay as I buckled my seatbelt. He chuckled and said, “Layla is probably with Irene and Elsa trying to figure out what to wear for the date tonight. Oh my god! Did I just? Wait, I asked Irene out on DATE!!,” Akshay fangirled over his steering wheel. “Aksh, dude, don’t get me into an accident! Relax! Want me to drive and out both our lives onto the safe side?” I offered and he just shook his head. “I can’t believe I’m taking her out on a date, like a real date! But my idea wasn’t all so fancy. But it’s work, since I don’t know her for long. But bruhh, your idea was pretty cool though. Anyways, can we pick up Adam and head to the hostel. I have to get ready for my first date. Okay?” he asked as he typed in Adam’s address into his GPRS while I called Adam, asking his to meet us outside.
In another half hour or so, we pulled in to the old parking lot outside Akshay’s hostel. Adam insisted in buying jelly beans and popcorn because he said *dressing up is girl stuff*. We opened Akshay’s room door to a note saying his roommate, Justin was going to a frat party on a school night. “Congratulations, the room is ours!” Akshay slapped his hands and plunked on the bed.
Layla’s P.O.V
Irene came out with a blue towel wrapped around her body and a towel turban. “Decided?” she asked as she undid she towel turban letting her damp hair fall over her shoulders. “Yeah, now if you wore some shorts and Tshirt we can get started,” Elsa said, munching on a granola bar. “Right.” She said and changed into a cotton shorts, and an old sweatshirt. “Sit here and close your eyes,” I said, and rubbed a cotton pad soaked by a cleanser kind of liquid. Elsa volunteered to iron Irene’s outfit in the next room as I worked on her makeup. I attached a few lighter blonde and dark brown highlights on Irene’s blonde hair after drying it. I straightened her hair and curled it slightly at the bottom, making sure it wasn’t overwhelming.
Elsa handed the clothes to Irene and she took it went to her closet to change. “Do you like anyone?” I asked Elsa once Irene was gone. “Well, apart from David Beckham, I don’t think so,” I chuckled and let the topic drop. We sat in silence and Irene came out. She was wearing a light pink tank top, and light turquoise jeans. To top it off she wore a light blue shirt, which looked more like a jacket or something on her. With a pair of ray bans and a converse leopard print shoes, she looked stunning. “Okay?” she asked fiddling with her fingers nervously. “Goodness! You look beautiful! Have a look!” I said and brought her to the mirror. I’ll fix your hair a little, and you’ll be ready by the time he comes. I styled a medium poof and pulled her hair into a high ponytail. Her curls were hanging loosely, wrapped up around one another and her highlights overlapped making her hair look like it jumped out of the latest edition of the Seventeen magazine. “Not bad,” Elsa commented smirking. “ I rolled my eyes playfully and she grinned. “Really, it looks really beautiful. Akshay is probably on his way. Let’s go downstairs,” Elsa said and we closed the door and went to the mainhall.
The horn beeped and I looked out of the window. “IRENE! Akshay is here!” I yelled, and she panicked. “Is he? Oh no! Do I have to go!?” she freaked out and Elsa caught hold of her shoulders and looked into her eyes, “Yes you do,” and sent her off. Jeff probably got a lift from Akshay back home, so I was on my own. I checked my cellphone for messages and there was one from Jeff. It read:
