“Hey mom, I’m back,” I said as I walked to the kitchen. She was cooking something and turned around. “Hey honey, how’s Jeff?” she asked as she pulled me into a hug. She pecked at my cheek and motioned me to sit down. “Jeff’s fine. The dance is tomorrow, mom. Could you help me get ready? Oh and I want to buy Jeff a tuxedo. He’s spent too much on me yesterday,” I said, sipping on the orange juice she placed in front of me. “Tomorrow? Sure! I’d love to! And we can go shopping for the tuxedo tonight? A mother-daughter night maybe?” she asked. I rolled my eyes, but smiled anyways and nodded. My hungry belly rumbled, and I clutched it. “What are you cooking? I’m terrible hungry, mom,” I said with the best innocent look I could pull off. “Ah just in time! I was just finishing Shrimp Fra Diavolo. I’ll get you some,” she said and stood up. I grabbed my phone to reveal a two text messages from Jeff and Adam.

*Hey babe, reached home safely? I’m excited for tomorrow, and oh yeah my aunt and uncle are back..with no food. I’m hungry. :’(*

It read, from Jeff. I replied him and opened the text message from Adam.

*I’m free tonight. Want to grab dinner? At La' Paris maybe? ;) *

It read. I rolled my eyes and quickly replied him saying I was going shopping with mom.

I slipped my phone back in my pocket and took in the sight of a heaping plate of steaming shrimp pasta in front of me. I grinned at my mom and dug my fork in the tangy goodness. Upon entering a mouthful of pasta in my mouth my head fell back and I moaned in pleasure. Oh god. “Oh My God! This is so good, mom!” I said and continued to stuff my mouth with the pasta. My mom smiled appreciatively and thanked me. I snapped a picture of the pasta and sent it to Jeff, which he replied to with an angry emoji, and a crying emoji. I giggled and continued to eat my food.

After another plateful of pasta, my mom and I raced to our rooms to get ready for shopping. I undressed and entered the bathroom to shower. 10 minutes later, I walked back to my room, and grabbed a blue ripped jeans and a plain black long sleeve baggy t shirt. I wore a white beanie that said ‘PIZZA’ and grabbed my bag and ran down. Mom was seated at the sofa, wearing a identical black shirt and a red knee length shorts. She stood up and together we walked to the car.

“What time is the dance tomorrow?” she asked as she inserted the key into the ignition and brought the engine to life. “6.00 in the evening. Jeff will be here to pick me up at 5,” I said, as I increased the volume on the radio. She nodded and continued to drive.

I told my mom about the dress we bought, the accessories and the trip to the hospital. As I was expecting she gasped when I mentioned that Jeff was in the hospital. But I assured her that he was perfectly fine.

The next 20 minutes was singing along to random songs on the radio and occasional jokes about the people on the road. We pulled in to the parking lot, and walked towards the mall.

I have a very good reason why I didn't update for a few weeks. I swear its a good reason. Oh, you want to hear the reason. Okay I was having a pretty crappy week(s). Isn't that good enough? Idk why am I even writing these, cause I'm pretty sure noone is reading them, but I'm able to rant here so yes. And also, I'm very very sorry, this is a short chapter. Puh lease. Lol, and I'm extremely excited for tomorrow because I'm going on a trip to a oh so haunted castle for a tuition trip. Which means I have tons of explaining to do to my friend about my life. But enough with ranting! I love you my babiesss!! :*
