Jay was asleep in my arms and I couldn't stop looking at her. The way her features looked so soft when she slept and how she had her lips slightly parted. Every minute I spent with this girl I fell more and more infatuated with her. The way her eyebrows furrowed when she was concentrating and how when she smiled she had little tiny dimples that I would say anything just to see her smile. I didn't realize how much I was invested in Jay. I could talk to her about everything and I hadn't even known her all that long. She was just one of those people who you can feel comfortable around. I wanted to spend every minute with her, and it looked like I was, since we are both stuck in here.
I wanted so badly to get away from here. And I wanted so badly just to make Jay mine. But I felt like here wasn't the right place, hell, it's not the right place for anything or anyone. The thought constantly ran through my mind, it was better than think about this place at least
I had to figure this out and figure it out fast.

I woke up in Ashton's arms and I didn't even remember falling asleep. We were talking for the longest time about the weirdest stuff and for the first time in the two weeks I was here I actually laughed and smiled. I loved the way Ashton laughed uncontrollably and how his eyes got all squinted up when he did that. He was one of those few people who always has their head up and looks on the bright side of things. It may be hell here and I certainly not enjoying it, but I am glad I met Ashton.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned. Ashton looked down at me and grinned, showing one of his amazing dimples. "Morning" he said, still smiling.
"Good morning Ash" I said, my voice still hoarse. "I can't believe I actually slept for more than an hour here."
"Well you really needed that sleep after yesterday" Ashton said sweetly as he played with my hair.
I flashed back to yesterday and shivered thinking of the cold thoughts. I didn't want to think about it anymore, but I guess it was never gonna go away.
Ashton saw my frown and got a look of concern on his face "I-I'm sorry I brought it up" he said.
"No no, it's not your fault. I'm just glad your here with me.." I trailed off.
After a long pause Ashton finally spoke up, barely audible "I'm glad you're in my life now"
We sat there for a while, just enjoying each others company. I noticed how much it really stank in this room and it was only getting worse and worse.
"How do you sit in here without smelling that?" I asked.
"I guess you kinda get used to it after a while..." He said "and I'm not in here all the time either."
I looked at him in confusion and he looked around then started to get up. "Come with me" he said, holding his hand out to help me up. I took it and to my surprise when I got up and was steadied he still didn't let go of my hand. He walked into another room and then to an even smaller room. I had to squat down to even fit in without hitting my head.
"Ash where are we?" I whispered, not knowing who else was around.
"You'll see" he said and even though he was ahead of me I could still imagine the little smirk on his face when he said that.
We finally walked into another room, not all that big, but livable. It had one other door that was a closet, I assumed. There was an old couch in the middle of the room and many of the floorboards were coming up. It wasn't the best place to be, but at least there weren't a dozen other people with us in cramped corners. And the smell was so much better and I was thankful for that.
