I took a deep breath as I paused outside the doors of City Hall. My breath swirled into the sky as the cold air nipped at my nose. I flipped open my pocket watch as I grumbled to myself. Not enough minutes in a day. The sound of a carriage rattled through the icy, cobblestone street echoed in my ear. Content with my work at City Hall, I finally found myself free from my work for a couple hours. I slight smile crossed my face as I walked down the steps. All of a sudden a voice called my name.
"Ezio Auditore!" Hamilton waved as he walked across the street to where I was standing.
"Mr.Hamilton sir." I replied with a smile.
"How are you?" I added.
Hamilton nodded as he folded his arms behind his back.
"Very well, isn't this crisp, cold air refreshing?" Hamilton asked.
"Very much so sir." I said simply.
Hamilton looked about his surroundings before turning back towards me.
"Anyways, I was wondering if I could ask you a favor?" Hamilton asked, his voice lowering as he looked at me sternly.
"...what do you need?" I asked curiously.
Hamilton took a sharp breath as his eyes scanned his surroundings a second time.
"Listen, I might do something that could save the election this year." Hamilton said quietly.
I frowned, confused on what he was implying.
"My plan is to destroy Adams chances of running for office that may contain some very secretive documents that you might have to draft for me." Hamilton explained his voice almost to a whisper.
I crossed my arms, unsure what Hamilton meant.
"You're running down your own party?" I asked.
Hamilton looked shocked as he shook his head.
"Of course not..." Hamilton said his voice quivering.
"Mr.Hamilton be sensible, why would you go off and write papers that might crush John Adams career, weakening the Federalists and having the Democratic-Republicans take over the government to their own advantage...it seems like a living nightmare." I hissed.
Hamilton paused as he looked down with a angered look.
"John Adams has no beliefs towards Government policies and the people's rights." Hamilton growled.
"But-" I was cut off by Hamilton's rude remark.
"The only thing that Adams has done for this growing nation is keeping us apart by putting us more in debt that i and countless others have been working off our whole damn careers trying to pay it off!" Hamilton snapped.
I stared at Hamilton before proceeding.
"You realize that your going to give Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr The advantage that they've always needed?" I asked slowly.
"I know...at least they might think of something better to save our country." Hamilton murmured.
"So will you help me?" Hamilton asked with a small smile.
I took a deep breath as I sighed. If Adams found out before the election, I would certainty be in deep waters and most likely fired from my job. But Hamilton did have some points. If Adams kept his title as president, this nation would be digging itself into a deep hole it's already in.
"Alright, I'll do it..but under once circumstance." I hissed.
"Do not let this be leaked out to public eyes under my name...if that happened, my career will be gone for good, do you understand?" I growled looking cooly at Hamilton.
Hamilton pursed his lips together before giving me a stern nod.
"Understood." He breathed.
"Good...tomorrow evening I'll be down at City Hall, you will drop them off then when I'm there and do not tell anyone where you are going...understood?" I asked sternly.
Hamilton nodded again.
"Yes sir." Hamilton said.
I looked around before turning my gaze back to Hamilton.
"Thank you Ezio...I will be ever in your favor." Hamilton said with a small smile.
"Of course." I said simply.
Hamilton sighed as he flipped open his pocket watch.
"I would love to stay and talk, but I have some errands to run before dark." Hamilton said.
"Talk to you latter Mr.Hamilton." I said with a small smile.
Hamilton gave me a nod before he walked onward towards the city's market. I took a shaky breath before starting my way to Burr's house. A sense of worry and nervousness crawled through my skin as I realized that I let my trust go to a person who publicly addressed something deeply private...maybe I made the wrong choice.

January 6 1801
The snow blew hard against the building as it creaked under the billowing blizzard outside. I found myself quite relaxed as I wrote with ease under the warm candlelight. I kept checking the halls occasionally, making sure no one was around to arise suspicion. Luckily the halls were deserted as I had the whole building to myself. Finally some time passed before there was a knock on my office door. I set down my quill as Hamilton walk in, wearing a heavy coat and glasses that were fixed upon his nose.
"Good evening Mr.Auditore." He greeted as he walked to my desk.
"Evening Mr.Hamilton." I greeted as I brushed away some papers that cluttered my desk.
Hamilton sniffed the cold away as he got out a folder and laid it on my desk.
"Here's the work, all you need to do is check it over and have it drafted under my name." Hamilton explained.
I looked up at Hamilton with a worried look.
"Are you sure you want full credit on the risky conduct?" I asked slowly.
Hamilton nodded briskly.
"I shall take full blame if the documents are leaked to the wrong eyes." Hamilton said.
I sighed as I nodded slowly.
"I just would hate to watch you fall again..." I murmured reaching for the folder.
There was a brief pause as I studied the front cover of the document.
"....I'll have these drafted and in about a week I'll drop them off at your residence." I said setting down the folder.
Hamilton nodded.
"That will do just fine." He said giving me a slight smile.
"I can't stress this enough Ezio, but thank you for your generosity...I've never seen a person quite like you show it as much as you do." Hamilton said his gaze warm.
"Thank you sir." I said plainly.
Our conversation was cut off by a big crash outside. The whole building shook as the wind howled against it.
"Must of been a tree?" Hamilton asked turning his gaze to the window.
"Most likely, theses snow storms don't take a liking to us for some reason.." I huffed.
Hamilton nodded as he turned back to me.
"Have a good rest of the evening." Hamilton said with a nod.
"Safe travels home." I chuckled as the wind rattled against the window.
"Trust me, I've been in worse." Hamilton sighed as he headed towards the door.
"Thank you again Ezio." Hamilton smiled before walking out of the room closing the door softly behind him.
I sighed as I slumped back in my chair, looking down at the document. With curiosity getting the better of me I flipped open the first couple of pages as I hastily read through Hamilton's writings. My stomach grew into a knot as I read through the paragraphs. It scared me how much Hamilton was criticizing over Adams every action. It was antagonistic, belligerent and the anger and disrespect Hamilton showed towards Adams was astonishing. I personally didn't find Adams a likable gentlemen and was hard to get along with him. But what Hamilton was expressing through theses writings shows how much power words can bring from a man. I had no clue who Hamilton was going to show this too, but no matter who it was, this would definitely strike different opinions about John Adams.
As I read through Hamilton's document with a feeling of dread that increased through each passing paragraph. I reluctantly got out my quill and approved the writings, allowing Hamilton to send it to whomever he pleases.
I sighed as I organized the papers back into the folder and got on my coat. It would be absolutely deadly if I left the papers down here for any prying eyes looking for a good story to brew. I tucked the folder inside my coat as I walked down the hall and out the door.
The snow blew hard onto my face as I tried to burry my face into the flap of my coat as I made my way to the Burr's residence. My whole body was shivering when I walked up the the steps. My nose was running and ears numb to the touch.
I gave a sigh of disappointment when I looked over at the dead fire. I fumbled up the stairs and into my room, closing the door quietly behind me. I took a shaky breath as I took off my coat, laying Hamilton's writings on my desk. I cursed at my window as the cold air crept into the room under the rattling window. With much discomfort to the cold I got changed and slipped under the covers. Trying to warm myself under the feeble blanket. Winter must of not crossed Burr's mind when he purchased the home. With that I tried to ignore the cold as my body begged for rest.
Another eventful day was gone just like that.

The cold winter months slowly thawed into spring as birds came back and so did the people.
The streets seemed more lively at the sight of warm days to come, along with blissful thundershowers that sprouted green, lush vegetation that covered the outskirts of New York with brilliant colored flowers and oak and aspen leafs. Though a pleasant feeling, it felt like I couldn't cherish it for long. Buried away in my writings as more and more people bustled in from Boston and Philadelphia after long isolation from each other. It felt like I was writing everyone's correspondence as they barked orders at me as I sunk lower and lower into a political obis, trying my best not to shatter any of my personal matters.
