The warm sun shone down from the sky as Sofia and I went on a outing in my beloved city. Through decades of change, this city still seems the same when I strolled down its streets for the very first time. I watch admiringly as Sofia walked ahead taking in the sights as she turned back to me with a loving smile. I smiled back at her as I followed her, a cane clutched in my right hand and glasses perched upon my nose. Soon I realized that we were coming up on Burr's old house. I stared at it will a small smile.
This is where it all began. How my life changed when I knocked on that door for the very first time. Though Burr and Theodoisa have long passed, I still felt their presence as I looked through the windows feeling like I was seventeen again.
I turned my gaze down the street as I followed Sofia down to City Hall. I looked up at the large building with a sense of pride. This was where I stared my legacy and built my name to where it is today with the hard work I buried myself in for decades. Though Jefferson and Madison departed long ago, I felt a sense of industriousness as I shook my head thinking about our tense times with each other on the floor, speaking to all of Congress.
How the roots of my success war formed from that building that I spent my blood and sweat writing furiously without a chance to take a break.
I understand now how that hard work affected me in my older years.
Though life is pretty slow and relaxing, I still can't help feel that somethings I needed to be done before...I run out of time.
I worked with Eliza and her children to redeem the legacy of Alexander Hamilton to his rightful glory it still seemed I could have done so much more in my youth.
Feelings eyes looking down at me with great expectations, that I deem impossible to accomplish on my time on earth, a destiny yet to be fulfilled in another life.
I sighed as I lowered my head to the cobblestone.
Sofia and I wandered through the city, the air was pleasantly warm.
The thoughts of the past still haunted me as we reached the shores of the Hudson. I paused as I looked out across the water. The vivid memories of what took place on the other side of the river flashed before my eyes.
Two great lives were cut short, both men sharing a legacy together, both tragically killed by the unmerciful hands of another person. Philip Hamilton, a man with great intentions and my best friend as we looked out for each other and cared for each other very much and Alexander Hamilton, a man with amazing talent and a leader that I trusted as we both guided each other through hardships we So familiarly faced.
"Father? You seemed dazed, are you alright?" Sofia asked as I turned to her with a sweet smile.
"Yes my darling, let's go home." I smiled as I too her hand.
"Alright, I love you pops." She laughed, showing her childish ways as she gazed up at me.
As we walked back through the streets, I paused and closed my eyes with a smile.
A ship bell rang him the distance as my mind flooded back to my youth, I thought.

"Another Immigrant has landed on theses shores...."
