Chapter 8

Y/n POV:
I woke up to the sound of the door opening. I slowly opened my eyes to see Laurence talking to zoey and she gave him a pendant to wear. I got up and looked at him and tilted my head. As he motioned me to follow him, I walked with him as he made his way to my old house I stoped dead in my tracks.
"Come on, and you are the adventurous one." He laughed.
'What ever you say pretty boy.' I rolled my eyes and barked he looked at me for a second and smiled.
We walked inside and I felt warm this is, was my house... I walked over to where the safe is and looked at it hopping he wasn't able to open it.
"Don't worry everything is still the same."
'What do you mean!' I barked and jumped.
"Well everything in that, I still haven't been able to open it..."
'Phew...' I sighed and walked over to my bed and plopped on it.
"Your tired all ready?" I nodded being physically drained since this is the longest I've held my wolf form for. "Well I'll let you rest I'll be back in a hour." I nodded and as he closed the door I turned back to my Emthian form. I hid my wings making me look like a werewolf. I changed out of my Knight armor into shorts and a cropped top, knowing I won't need the extra weight in a while. My arm has seemed to heal nicely. I then turned back into my wolf form and fell asleep. When I woke up I saw a note and a necklace on my desk. ''A secret is shared in the woods.' Cryptic But Ok?' I thought as i put on the necklace. Then, I used magic to open doors while staying In my wolf form. Once I made it to the woods I saw something that broke me in two It was near the cave I showed Laurence by a pond. I hid in the bushes so I wouldn't be seen. As I watched as tears filled my eyes as I saw the love of my life make out with my lord. It's funny, I have scales that can't be penetrated by obsidian blades, teeth stronger than diamonds, eyes sharper then a falcon, so how can someone who is claimed to be unbreakable, feel so broken.. I stepped on a twig and they heard I saw a look of anger and disgust on Laurence's face as he steeped back, and I ran away deeper into the forest. I howled as I ran, no one responded. I was alone... all alone... I ran till I found a tree and I turned into my Emthian form and flew onto one of its branches, and wept as I sat. "I'm a monster, I'm the demon, not him. He hasn't killed, I have. He has loyalty to where he belongs, I don't... I ran because I wanted to find love, in the end I found nothing but heartbreak..." I turned into my human form as I sat on the branches and sobbed and the necklace glowed a soft green and blue hue. I then sang an old song that was known by the fairy folk for peace.

As I sang animals of the forest came and watched and fairies as they danced around me playing music to the song, As light lowly dimmed Upon the forest. The animals slowly fell to sleep. The fairies circled around the tree and the tree grew above the rest.the inside of the tree became hollow and was lined with stairs to get to the top. A door at the bottom that was covered with vines. And near the top of the tree was a house that was covered by leaves and branches. And a fairy helped me up and circled around me as I felt my ears and tail show along with my wings. As my voice was heard and I saw lights and people draw near the tree to investigate .The animals awoken and made a barrier around the tree. I flew down and saw the towns people as my song echoed through the forest. It's was as if the people were enchanted by it. My (h/l) (h/c) flowed as the wind blew as I step foot on the ground a small Wyvern landed on my shoulder. I eyed the people who were either worried or in awe. Some people whispered amongst themselves, 'Witch?' 'Ghost' 'Is she a god?' 'What dose this mean.' 'Who is she?' As then I stoped singing, some clapped others just stood there. As then two guards walked up to me.

"Princess (Y/n) of emis. You father has sent us to bring him your presence regarding your betrayal." One guard spoke.
"Tell that old man that if he wants to see me he could come over here as I am not leaving."
"It was not a request."
"Then I would like to see you Burn." I said as (f/c) flames circled around my hands and then caged the guards. As the flaming bars drew closer to them. "Let this be a warning to any Man who steps foot near my sacred tree." As the men were itinerated by the flames and were turned into no more than ash. "Now leave before I change it to any Mortal." I said as the towns people fled. I turned to the Wyvern on my shoulder. "Send the people of Phoenix Drop a message, the person who brings me Laurence, dead or alive, will gain Riches beyond the imagination's reach. Oh, and while your at it I would like you to break into my old safe. I have a a satchel there with items that are of great importance." I said as I pet its head and it flew off.
