Chapter 23

Y/N's POV:
I was sitting on a bench while watching the kids run around the garden. When a blushing Laurence walked up to me and my eyes widened.. Father didn't did he....
"Um.. so how was the talk with father.. did he talk to you about..."
"The transformation.. Yes.." his face turned red.
"Um... what else did he talk about?"
"NOTHING?!?!" He said.
"Right..But..." I then whispered in his ear... "I wouldn't mind if you wanted to take me~." I teased to see if his face could get any redder... Which it did and his ears and tail popped out and I smirked and giggled. "Your too cute!! I was just messing with ya!!"
"...y-yeah... Right..." he stuttered.
"Awwww..... my little stutter king.." I smirked and hugged him.
"....grrrrrrr......" he pouted and crossed his arms and looked away from me.
"Oh please... We both know you love me..." I said poking his shoulder.
"Yeah...yeah..." he said looking at me still pouting. I kissed him on the lips.
"Now I'm going to make sure Benjamin and Elizabeth aren't getting into trouble..." I walked over to the twins to see them Playing with a blond haired blue-grey eyed 3 three year old and a brown haired green eyed 5 year old. "Hey sweethearts! Who are these two friends of yours." I said kneeling down to be at their level.
"Hi Mama, Papa! This is Alexa and her older brother Max! They come from the east and they are the children of the lord, of Blazeinton?"
"It's very nice to meet you two! I am (Y/n) Ben's and Eliza's mother, and this is Laurence their father." I said getting up and holding Laurence's hand.
"Pleased to meet you!" Max said then his blue eyed sister took a bow.
"Maybe some time you all can have a sleepover at the castle." I suggested and Eliza looked at me.
"CAN WE!?!"
"Sure sweetheart! I just need to talk to their parents first!"
"Yay!!" The 4 kids exclaimed.
"Hmmm... so what do you have planned??" Laurence looked at me.
"You'll see." I smiled and two people walk over who I presume are their parents. "You must be Lord and Lady Konijin. its a pleasure to finally meet you! You have two wonderful children."
"Thank you your majesty. You have two fine children yourself." The woman said.
"Thank you. Since the kids are getting so well along why don't we schedule a slumber party for the four of them, I assure you the finest guards shall watch over them and there shall be maids to attend to their needs."
"Hmm.. I don't see why not?" The Man replied patting his son on the head.
"Then it's settled! Why don't we set the date for Saturday?"
"Sounds Good. Come on max, Alexa, we need to get going we have a meeting to attend." They said as they bowed and left.

We walked back to the castle and went to the dining halls then had something to eat. Sadly, my father couldn't join due to his illness that caused him to not be able to walk. After eating we all said goodnight and I tucked the children into their beds before walking back to my room. I saw that Laurence was already asleep in bed and I quietly undressed myself till I was in no more than my undergarments and being to tired to look for my cloths I turned off the lights and laid in bed under them sheets and went to bed.

~The next morning~
I woke up and got dressed in a blue and silver gown my hair was wavy. I gave a kiss to Laurence on the head since he was still sleeping and wrote a note on the desk saying I was going to the market center to buy some things. Then I waked downstairs to the front gate put on a white hood and walked to the market to grab some toys for the kids and a little something for me... That Laurence might enjoy too.. and I also got some sweets. From there I walked back to the castle to my room and I heard the shower head go off in the bathroom so I quickly tiptoed to the closet and hid the stuff I bought for myself. Then I walked to the children's room and placed the dolls on their bed on the edge. Then I walked to my fathers room to make sure he was ok he was asleep but I could see that he wasn't getting any better. Then I walked back to the room inside to hear the door to the bathroom open to see Laurence half naked in only a towel.

"Like what you see?" He asked with a smirk, as I blushed and he walked to the closet.

I crossed my fingers hoping that he wouldn't see the bag. He grabbed his clothes took a quick glance at me, still smirking.... and walked to the bathroom to get changed.

~Later that same day~
It was at around noon when I was rushed into my fathers room his face was the color of snow and cold. I sat next to him holding his hands in mind as I felt the tears rolling done my face... He was dead... he died in his sleep only an hour beforehand. Laurence held me tight the and kids were outside the door, they already got to see him I just asked if they could wait outside for a minute so I could mourn. After a almost an hour has passed a guard asked where will the Burial take place and I told them next to the willow tree on the hill were my mother was buried. Emthian guards flew throughout the kingdom to spread the news. and within a matter of hours people from the kingdom flew to the burial sight. A priest gave a speech and then the body was buried. The Konijins offered to take the kids for the week so that I could rest, I accepted. When the people left I walked to Laurence and my room for rest I got changed into my night gown then sat on the bed.
"He may have been not the nicest man, but he still was my father..." Laurence took off his shirt as I spoke then he walked over to me and sat down and held me close.
"It's ok..." he held me in his arms as i sobbed into the crook of his neck and he ran his fingers through my hair. "Let's get some rest..." He said looking down and he let go of me and I got into lithe bed and he laid beside me pulling me close to his chest then we both fell asleep.
