Chapter 26:

It's been 4 days Since the transformation has started. Laurence has been feeling better and his green and black wings started to show a bit more, by the end of today he will have full dragon Emthian wings. He was still in bed though and relaxing. Elizabeth, and Ben have been playing with Dimitri and Nicolette for the past few days and Zoey, and Cadenza have been watching over them while I made sure Laurence was doing ok. He can finally walk a bit, I can't help but feel guilty for his pain, I was born an Emthian so I never had to deal with the pain of the transformation, but he does, and I can't help but feel sorry for him. There was no other way though, sure you can make a potion but that only works on people with the bloodline and still it isn't painless. I called a maid to get us some food since till tomorrow he is under bed rest. He was sleeping for the first time in days, he looked so peaceful.  I walked to the restroom to get showered as I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and rest their head on the crook of my neck as I got partly undressed.
"How was your sleep?"
"Best sleep I have had in a few days I'll tell you that.." he said and I nodded.
"Does it hurt?" I asked as he shook his head.
"No, not as much as it did yesterday. They are a bit heavy but I need to get used to that." He said as his wings extended a bit and then retracted.
"I see it's easier to move them."
"A bit yes." I touched his face.
"You really need to rest." I said looking at the small dark circles under his eyes.
"Hmm.. I will but for now why don't we get to 'know each other' a bit more in the shower?" He cocked his eyebrow and smirked as I smiled and shook my head.
"As much as I would love to, you need rest.." I kissed his head and gave him a hug. "Now go get some rest, the maid will be up here soon with the food." I said as he shrugged and gave me a disappointed look, then he kissed my hand and walked out of the bathroom.  I then got fully undressed and took a shower. Once done I got changed into a (s/f/c) dress I walked into my room. The lights were dim and their was a faint smell of lavender Laurence was in a chair, with a glass of red wine in his hand.  "What is all this? I thought I told you to get some rest?" I put my hand on my hip and smiled, he got up and smirked.
"You have been taking care of me all week and I wanted to return the favor." He handed me the glass and I bit my lip through a smile and shook my head.
"At the same time I'm the reason you are like this." He looked at me and smiled.
"That doesn't matter, just sit back and relax enjoy yourself." He said as I took a sip of the wine and sat down on the edge of the bed and he sat down next to me. I managed to set my glass on the bed side table and then I looked over Laurence, his eyes met mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck, we shared a deep and passionate kiss. Then one thing led to another, and let's just say we didn't leave the room that day.

~The Next Day~

"Mmmm..." I moved my messy hair from my face as I tried to get up as I felt two arms wrap around my waist and I was pulled back into the bed. "Laurence... We need to the leave the room sometime..."
"Yes... Or we can stay in bed and go for round 3?" He smirked as I kissed him.
"I'm not falling for it today, Now let's get dressed. And turn down the Casanova will ya?" I smiled and he laughed as we got out of bed and got dressed. I then looked at him and he smiled.
"So... What am I going to do about these?" He said as his wings extended a bit.
"Oh.. Right, I almost forgot about that. Hehe. Just do the same thing you do to hide your ears? That's what I do." I laughed a bit and he walked over closed his eyes while holding my hands and he hid his wings as he squeezed my hands a bit. He opened his eyes and I kissed him once more. "Ready?" I asked and he nodded. I opened the door and I walked with him and we walked downstairs to the big living room where everyone was sitting around talking or playing chess.

"They exist!" Garroth laughed as he held up his mug of beer, and half of them raised their glasses, in a salute type manner.
"Now, I'm sorry for my absence in the main part castle, I have had important things to attend to." I smiled as I looked at Laurence who then spoke .
"Now to celebrate your arrival, let's have a grand feast!" Then everyone piled into the banquet hall and the chef prepared the feast. Lady Aphmau sat across from me, Laurence sat to my right and my children to my left. We all sat and talked for hours by the end of the feast Laurence got up from his chair and looked at me and smiled.
"Please settle down everyone, I have announcement to make." He then got one one knee and pulled out a box. "My Love, (Y/n) (Y/n) I have known you for more than 6 years now. You can say we have been through a lot, but through everything, 5 years of separation, our quarrels. We have come together and have never had a bond stronger. With you I'm proud to raise our children, with you I will stand strong and I will do all in my power to protect you from any harm, or force of evil. You are my kind, sweet loving, caring, love of my life, you are my everything. I guess what I'm trying to say is will you marry me?" He said as tears of joy fell from my face.
"Yes! Yes, million times yes!" I said as I hugged him and then pulled him into a kiss and slipped the silver ring with a diamond onto my finger. The young kids cringed at this action, while everyone else in the room cheered and clapped.
