Chapter Four

Zoey's POV

When mommy and I get back home she gets out of the car and opens the backseat door and unbuckles me as I always have a hard time doing it. "Alright baby, daddy has been away for awhile now and is really tired after all the work he's done, so you need to be nice and quiet, understand?" I don't even argue with the fact she calls him my father. I just nod and say that I understand.

We walk into the house and it's not an awful mess, but still a bit since we've not been there. "Okay princess why don't you go play while I make dinner" I run up to my room not before mom yells at me to stop running. There's too many rules between her and Auntie Jade I'll never do what I want. Oh well though I love them. All too soon I hear the door open and slam close. Alex is here, I quickly run out to the stairs to try and see if he's in a good mood or not. Maybe if he is he won't hurt me... but I don't think he is. He's yelling at mommy about how she spends too much time with Auntie Jade. I mean what to you expect stupid you're never here! I roll my eyes and walk down, maybe I can help mommy. "Alex she's my best friend, of course I'm going to spend time with her." He scoffs and looks at me "what are you doing here!?" He screams in my face. I slowly back away hoping he won't hurt me again. "This is her house too, what do you expect!? You don't have to talk to her like that because you're having a bad day!" Mommy tells him. She seems mad at him. "Baby go upstairs and play I'll bring you dinner when it's done please." Mommy says leading me up the stairs. "Can we go back to Auntie Jade's please mommy?" She just sighs and sakes her head no. Dang it I really wanted to get as far away from "dad" as I could. I walk into my room and play with the puzzle Auntie Leigh got me. I wonder what her and Auntie Jess are doing.

I hear Alex screaming again, I hear mommy crying too. I'm scared did he hurt mommy too? I walk out of my room and I see Alex with a broken mirror, at least he didn't hurt my mom. I ran to mommy's room and got her phone and I call Auntie Jade, but she doesn't answer. So I call Auntie Jess. She answers I tell her to quickly come to the house! She asks what's wrong but I tell her to just hurry!

Soon enough Auntie Jess arrive with Auntie Le Le too! They walk in and see mommy crying and Auntie Jess runs over to her and Auntie Le Le runs to me and picks me up. "What happened hun?" She asked me. "Alex" is all I say. She sighs and we walk over to mom. When she sees me she quickly wipes her tears away and stands up. Auntie Leigh gives me over to mom and I hug her and burry my head in the crook of her neck. She rubs my back and whispers in my ear that it's alright. "Pez, what's going on?" Auntie Jess asks. "Alex is mad because I was at Jade's, I told him that she's my best friend so he can get over it" she sighs and Auntie Le Le asked about where he is now. "He left, he said sorry and he'll be back later." "You don't know where he went?" She just shakes her head.

"Do you know why Auntie Jade didn't answer her phone, is she okay?" I asked them. "She had some meeting with management" mommy tells me. "Is She in trouble?" I ask curiously. "No hun they just want to ask about some award show they think she should attend." Auntie Jess tells me laughing at the thought of Jade in trouble. "Are you guys not going?" I ask them, I though they were supposed to go to these things together. "No hun it's not a normal award show, it's a bit different, we do t have to go together as it's sort of an individual thing" mommy says.

Jade's POV

I walk out and check my phone to see there are three missed calls from Pez. Wonder what that's about. I call back and there's no answer, that's strange Perrie always answers the phone. I call back again, no answer. I start to get worried, so I drive to her house to see Jess and Leigh's car there. Is everything alright? I walk into Perrie's house as I've got a key. "Hello?" I yell out I hear footsteps running towards me. Before I can see who it was I was tackled into a hug. "AUNTIE JADE!! You're here!!" I laugh and hug her spinning her around. Her laughs hysterically, it warms my heart. I set her down and ask her where the girls are and she just leads me to the living room. I see Jess and Leigh sleeping and Pez is intently watching whatever's on the telly. "Perrie you know I could've been anyone and your daughter could've gotten taken away." That seems to get her to snap out of it. She sees my and rushes to my side to hug me, oh how I love to be greeted by these two, tackles in hugs. I laugh and Pez looks at me questioningly. "You and Zo here sure do like hugs don't you?" I say laughing She just nods and leads me to the sofa. Zoey sits on her lap and Perrie leans her head on my shoulder. But of course we had to be interrupted! The front door slams open and Perrie jumps up. She hands Zoey to me as she was shaking, I wonder why. I look down at her and she has tears In her eyes. "Darling what's the matter?" I ask sincerely "he's home" with that it hit me, Alex! Alex is why she's so upset! I stand up and place her on the couch I kiss her forehead and whisper in her ear "it'll be alright angel stay here and if you get scared cuddle with your Aunties, yeah?" She just nods and crawls over to them and settles between the two she was instantly wrapped in their arms. I smile at the sight but soon frown when I hear Alex yell "And of course she's here! She always with you!" I hear a glass brake! Oh no what if he hurt Pez! I quickly run into the kitchen and see Perrie crouched down in the corner with her hand covering her head. I glance at Alex who is starting at me like he's going to kill me. "What the hell? You're scaring her and your daughter!" I yell at him. "That!" He points to the living room "is no daughter of mine!" He yells I feel my blood boil how dare he! "Perrie come on" I say picking her up and heading towards the stairs to get her things, I'm not about to let her and Zo stay here in this situation. "She going no where with you!" He yells throwing a glass at Perrie but before it could hit her I jerk her out of the way and it hits me. "Fuck that hurt!" I curse. By now Jess and Leigh have woken up and saw the whole thing and tackled Alex to the ground while Perrie checks my injury's from the glass. "Jadey why didn't you let it hit me?" She asked crying "why would I?" I counter back. The glass originally hit my leg but it shattered and hit everywhere basically. There was some shards in my leg, arm, and even my face. That boy can throw hard! Right now I'm sitting on the floor trying to stop the bleeding in my leg as that's where it's coming out the fastest. It's nothing too serious but I don't want to faint or anything especially right now. "Jade can you walk?" Perrie asks I simply shake my head knowing for sure if I tried I'd fall right back down. She nods and picks me up. "Pez put me down. I'm too heavy!" I say trying to get out of her grip. She laughs and hold me tighter. "You? Heavy? Please Jade never in a million years. Now stop moving we got to get you cleaned up." I soon stop realizing there's no way she's letting me go. In the mean time Leigh and Jess call the police to get Alex and go sit with Zoey while waiting on us. Once we get to the bathroom she sits me down on the counter and get the first aid kit out "Alright Poopey where's all the glass?" She asked examining my face. "Where's there no glass?" I ask laughing. She frowns and looks down "I'm sorry" she says sadly. "Hun, look at me" she say lifting her chin "I would've moved you if I wasn't willing to take the hit." She hugs me and I wince "oh I'm sorry Jadey I don't mean to hurt you!" She says frantically. I chuckle and tell her not to worry about it. "Jadey I think you'll have to take your clothes off to get all the glass.." I nod knowing it's true. I try to pull my pants down but a pain shot through my stomach and I sit straight up again. "I don't think I can Pez" "it's alright Jadey I got it" she takes my pants and shirt off. And she gasps at all the scratches. "Jade.." she says softly. She soon gets all the glass and double checks like three times, this girl I swear. She goes into her wardrobe and pulls out a shirt for me to put on. I put it on and go to pick up my clothes off the floor and she stops me. "I got it Poopey go downstairs with the girls" I do as told and sit on the couch next to Leigh that has Zo on her lap. "Auntie Jade?" I hear I look over at Zoey who had unshed tears in her eyes and I hold my arms out for her, she climbs onto my lap and hugs me. "I'm sorry Auntie Jade.." she says sadly. "Shh baby it alright he's gone now." Little did I know Perrie was standing there watching us with a smile on her face.
