"But mommy he's mean! I don't like him!" I tell my mom, she insists that Alex is my dad, but he's not! "Zoey Marie Edwards! You do not talk about your father in that way!" She yells, she just doesn't understand does she!? She starts to come towards me but when she gets close...I hit her. I wasn't thinking I was just mad. "Zoey, you just got yourself in some deep trouble! Get over here, right now!" Oh no, what if she takes me back? What if she doesn't want me anymore!? "I'm sorry mommy, please don't take me back. I promise I'll be good."
Her eyes soften at my words. "Baby listen to me, I will never take you back. I love you with all my heart and so does daddy and the girls." I love her and my Aunties too, but the fact that she keeps saying Alex is my dad makes my blood boil. She goes on to say "you're a kid, you get in trouble it's normal. Just because you're being a hassle does not mean I'm taking you back. I would never." I don't know what's gotten into me, I was crying. I don't cry often, well it seems I have since I moved here. My mommy is nice, but Alex is who makes me cry. Mommy doesn't even know, but I can't let her know. "Mommy?" "Yes baby?" I really just want to see Auntie Jade. "Can we go to Auntie Jade's?" "Of course baby girl, let me call to make shes home." She calls, she puts her phone on speaker so I can hear too. But mommy tells Auntie Jade I'm in trouble, she doesn't seem too happy about that, she told me she'll talk to me when we get there.
When we get to Auntie Jade's I'm excited, but nervous because I don't want Auntie Jade to be mad at me.
